It's never a good time to have your transmission go out. I had the luck of having mine go out 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery. Tyson worked with me to be able to get my car fixed at the lowest possible cost and as quickly as possible. I feel they were fair with me and very honest. I'll definitely bring future cars to them as well.
If I could give a negative score I would. These people weren't honest, and what they did was inexcusable by any standards. They did two interviews with a potential candidate for hire. After the second interview they shook his hand anx told him he had the job. So he gives his notice that he's quitting his previous job hauls all of his tools to Deans, moves to the area and because of family politics and a real shity attitude from one of their boys without notice they let him go. Now stuck in Spanish fork without a job and pounding the pavement for another one the bills are pilung up, rent won't be paid and now were living in a broken down trailer scraping to make ends meet. The absolute shittiest thing you could do to a person. The man knows his transmissions, owned his own shop for over ten years not one complaint so I know it wasn't because of his work ethic. To top it all off Dean and Deana the owners who hired him on went on a vacation to mexico and had their son fire him! These two are without compassion and they really put a family in a bad way! I still have a hard time believing that what is supposed to be a family owned and operated business could treat people in such a poor way. Shame on you! He was told by the labor commision that they would only be able to step in and do something about this if they had 16 or more workers. Way to go Dean and Deana , I'm glad to know that your business is owned and operated by a couple of scam artists. I hope you get back exactly what you give!
Clutch went out on my Nissan Pathfinder. Took it here to get a quote on a fix. They said it would probably cost between $1500 and $2000 for what was wrong. I didn't pay that much for the old car so I just planned on junking it. Friend of mine took a look and figured it just needed to be flushed and one cheap part replaced. $30 and 1 hour later the issue was fixed. I'm not sure what in the world is up with their quote but i've never been quoted thousands of dollars for what took two inexperienced guys an hour to fix. Seems sketchy so I would be careful.
Great place to get a transmission rebuilt reliable and honest
The mechanics at Dean's are the best ever. They did not mind that I asked a lot of questions and explained everything to me that I wanted to know. They gave me a few options to repair my transmission. I opted to have them rebuild it and I am very glad that I did. The price was right in the range they told me it would be. They had it back to me one day sooner than I expected too. It was a stressful time for me having an expensive repair that I did not expect and I am glad that I felt I could trust them. Thank you again for fixing it just like you said you would with no surprises. Thanks again for not getting tired of my questions.
Got an oil change here. They were very quick and friendly.
Brought a transmission up from St George just to have it rebuilt at Dean's! Great experience, great service, honest up front and thorough. What more can you ask for?
UPDATE: When I took it to the other shop they discovered that a wrong part had been used (a major one). They quoted over $1k to R&R.
I called Dean's and they sent a tow truck to the other shop to pick up the car, fixed it themselves AND DIDN'T CHARGE ME ANYTHING! They even paid for the tow and paid the first shop for their labor. Very impressive, especially considering the original [defective] work had been done several years ago.
>Went here based on advice from my (very good and honest) mechanic.
>VERY DISAPPOINTED. The price was pretty good, but I have had a number of problems with the work they did. I have had the car back to them a couple of times and they always claim there isn't a problem.
>THERE IS A PROBLEM. I am taking it to another transmission shop to get it straightened out, but I won't be going back to this shop again.
