After paying for 2 rooms someone outside was asking for help as we walked to our car. Suspicious motel customers staying at Days Inn in Tucson on Xmas eve. Kinda like a creepy movie.
The owners were Welcoming and helpful. Need to choose you customers with a clean life style.response / report this review -

Rates are decent, staff is friendly enough, and I've had no major issues during any of my stays at this Days Inn. The neighborhood is not great, but the hotel IS secure. There is a pool, and Dominoes Pizza is very close. There is a Neighborhood Walmart nearby, and a QT for gas or late night snacks. Patrons range from snowbirds, military, and average families, to people one step away from sleeping on the street. So, if you can handle that; the prices here are good, the rooms are clean, and the location makes getting anywhere in Tucson a drive of 20 minutes or less. I'd stay here again.

Rooms are terrible and run down. Door was patched with tape. Wall chipping away. In desperate need of a renovation. Management has weird uncommon policies. Not worth the money unless you paid $20. Ive been to motel 8s that are better.

I love days inn because i was able to check in late and i was a wreck that night. It gave me the comfort and peace i needed to recuperate from a strange illness i was experiencing that night. I laid in the shower most of the night with the hot water on that NEVER ran out. By the next morning i was actually well and well rested and was able to make a long trip i had been anticipating for quite some time. Days inn was AWESOME !!!!!!

You get what you pay for. I chose this place because it was near my destination and didn't choose it for high quality.
My online reservation had been booked months in advance through the Days Inn website. The hotel owner (independently owned) didn't download the online reservation and it got canceled.
As I found out, each independent owner is responsable for downloading online bookings and merging them into their own systems. If the owners don't do it fast enough there will be problems, which is what happened to me. The owners tried to blame the website, but I'm a bit more savvy than most and can tell when someone is making excuses, especially since I was on the phone with the Days Inn website people while standing in the lobby of this hotel.
The hotel itself is clean, which is all I really cared about, but it was in bad need of a refresh when I was there.
If you're booking at this hotel make sure you call them to confirm your reservation. Then call a second and third time. I had to find another hotel for my first night stay because of this owner.response / report this review -

We got a great price on a nice suite. It was quite large, with two beds in two rooms. Only complain being that the bathroom was only accessible from one, so we woke one another up in the night when we went to sleep.

This place was basic and I get that. It's right by the entrance to the Davis Monthan Air Force base so sure there are pawn shops, check cashing joints and a few dive bars. Duh. Don't understand all the negatives but my room was very clean, the front office woman super nice (referred me to nearby good eats), fresh brewed coffee up front every AM with basic pastries and fruit, price was as quoted with no add-on's or surprises. Yep, there's a few homeless people in the area (not at the motel) but that is Tucson all over the east, west and southside of town. I grew up here. Elysium is in the foothills. If you want a 4-Star hotel, then get one.

This place is a joke. Called and a clerk named Mark answered. I asked for the rates (mind you I know it's $59), and he says $79. So called back a little later (20 minutes) to see what he said and he says $109. I asked why did my friend call earlier (actually me), and you told him 79 and he lies and says he doesn't know, and he didn't say it. See this is hiw to lose business. Your hotel is in a bit of a bad area (my stay would have been for the convenience to where I'll be tomorrow), you have tons of bad reviews, and then you lie. This is how to keep your place un-bookedwell, besides the crap reputation. Good job there guys.

Television didn't work, bedside lamp didn't have a knob to turn it on, the room door had to be slammed shut. There are homeless people who live in parking lot, a drunk man sitting on stairs smoking & glaring at guests, & he kept propping open the "secure" entry door from the parking lot The room had noisy uneven floors that would literally creak loudly & dip down in spots. The room had a terrible odor. Complimentary breakfast was no compliment, cold, anemic miniature pancakes, warm milk that ran out leaving hungry kids without cereal. Breakfast nook was without air conditioning with 96 degree weather outside. The front driveway was not accessible due to employee cars parked there. The room carpeting was so dirty, & the air conditioner was so loud & went off and on in 2 minute intervals. Bed sheets & blankets had stains & cigarette holes! This hotel would be a great location for a horror film! Do yourself a favor, & run, not walk away from the Days Inn & Suites at 1440 S Craycroft Rd in Tucson!
