There is quite a bit of construction going on, I stayed in a room that was recently done and the bathroom was phenomenal! Bed was new and was great! Carlos at the front desk had very good guest relations, very courteous.
I have stayed at many motel 6 properties. This is my least favorite. While office staff was friendly, I was given a room right next door to units being renovated. I was greeted in the early morning with loud construction noise. I had to walk through and over ruble and dust to get to my room. I was given a non renovated room with worn carpet and a TV with few channels. A unit on floor above was playing extremely loud music which could be heard in the parking lot and staff allowed it. This is the first motel 6 that I regretted staying in. Would not recommend as it is currently.
The hotel was in the middle of renovation and we ended up with a two-room suite that simply had a bed, table, and 2 wood chairs. No couch, phone didn't work, no night stands, and NO MIRROR in the bathroom. We checked in on a Saturday and when I went back to speak to the young woman at the front desk she suggested that if I didn't like it that I could just come back tomorrow (Sunday) to see if the other room amenities had arrived.
I checked out around 3 am on Monday the 12th. The night person ( Hispanic female, no name tag) was working. I was outside 15 minutes trying to get her attention, then she acted annoyed and told me next time just leave the key in the room, instead of bothering her pretty much.
Omar was there when I checked in. I’ve met him before. He is always pleasant and is a good rep for your hotel.
Housekeeping didn’t service my room ( my choice), but when I asked for towels and trash bags they provided them quickly. Some of the towels looked dirty. I didn’t tell them but some of the towels are stained.
Parking is a small issue. I came in late and saw trailers parked in spaces and had to park next door. That rude Mexican girl told me about that, forgive me for the ‘Mexican girl reference’ but she wasn’t wearing a name tag.
There were minor issues, but for the most part my stay was comfy and I will use the hotel again.
I tried to book online and made a date mistake. When I went back in to fix it the program wasn't friendly or helpful and neither was the man on the phone when I called.
When my husband called, of course, he was able to get it straighten out in less than 5 minutes. I really resent being put off simply because he didn't want to deal with me, a woman, but he couldn't do enough for my husband. Seriously? In 2017? Blatant sexism anywhere is disgusting and in the service industry is like cutting your nose off to spite your face!
Carlos was great. Very friendly and helpful. I've stayed in several Motel 6 locations. This room was drab and didn't feel clean. Definitely needs some upgrades.
Room was clean and tidy. One problem was that we were informed, after checking in and paying for our 2 night stay, that the electric company was going to be turning off the electricity from 11pm through 5am. Employee told us that although the electricity probably would not be off for that long, they always gave more hours to be on the safe side. The electricity was off for over 5 hours, so we had no air conditioning or tv during most of the night.
Also, on the second morning I walked down to the office for a cup of coffee and was told that there was none and that a woman was bringing some later.
Staff was extremely nice and the ground were pretty. I was actually very impressed with how clean the hot tub was even though we didn't use. The room was not so great. It smelled really bad, there was a hole in the wall and the mattress was in horrible condition. The only good part was the very clean bathroom even though there wasn't a shower curtain. Oh and the phone had missing buttons and no indication how to call the front desk
Location was good for shopping and restaurants. It's an older hotel that could use some updates. We arrived early and the hotel management made sure that we could get into our room early. We really appreciated that! The room was clean, but needs some serious updating. A microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, and blow dryer all provided. The bathroom had a tub shower combination (which was sparkling clean), a definite plus!
The rooms are clean. Freeway noise can get to be a bit much, but probably the nature of the beast. Bring your own pillows. Book in advancefar in advance. Prices go up to much in my opinion and room selection/location gets worse.
Room was not ready for us at time of check in. Waited 15 min. Then they gave us a room with a smaller bed, which was not what we had reserved, so they switch our room and we get a clogged sink. Then they switch us again. This took up a lot of time which we didn't have. Not to mention it was a drag. In the end I do have to say the hispanic receptionist was kind. And the cleaning lady was very helpful and courteous.
Great location. Easy access to the freeway. Not too far from the beach and other family filled activities. Has a skating ring and water park next door.
I recommend this hotel to all my friends and family when they come to Orange County. They have great combination of price, location, amenities, and staff! Near the lowest price in the county, right off the 405 and close to the 55 & 22 freeways, pool and jacuzzi, with staff that always tries to please. All that and it's only a few miles from the beach!!
The room was always hot and humid and didn't smell great. On a guest service guide in the room it says they have waffles and cooked foods like bacon and eggs. When we went downstairs there were no waffles or eggs and bacon. There was bread, cereal, oatmeal, and juice. There were also a few oranges, but we weren't allowed to take it to our room. I didn't understand this when we were paying for everything else. The shower water was hot and then suddenly cold, which isn't pleasant at all. The windows don't open which makes you feel concealed or trapped. I would NEVER come here again. Their ice machine on the third floor doesn't work, so we called them and told them to finish. They said they would and never did. When we were picked up and ready to take our bags down a housekeeper was looking into our room. I went to see what she was doing. She asked if she could come in and check. I told her she couldn't come in yet, but she walked in. She was wondering in our room while we were still packing. We left a tip on the bed for housekeeping. She went to grab it and we told her it might be for something else, so she wouldn't take it. I think it is extremely disrespectful when you barge in when we told you not to, and almost take the money off our bed. We will never be staying here again, due to the poor service. Please improve your motel.
