Fast internet (42Mbit). Comfortable beds, good water pressure in shower. Washer and dryer are $2 each. Dryer took two runs to dry my clothes

Was the most horrible experience. As soon as I walked in there was a very strong marijuana smell and the front desk were arguing with the person smoking marijuana then the police arrived. I did not feel safe in this hotel I kindly spoke to the front desk and requested a cancellation they were very rude not professional at all. I ended staying at the shorebreak hotel right by Huntington Beach and that was the best decision I ever made front desk personal very professional and the stay was very pleasant. I definitely would never recommend comfort inn Huntington Beach

I really prefer the Holiday Inn Express properties when I'm looking to stay at this price point. So, I'm basing this rating compared to my typical HIE experience. This property was a motel, not a hotel, which didn't bother me but not advertised that way. The room was small, but this is LA area. The room had some sort of a bug (not bed bugs) in the room. I didn't notice it until the morning after we'd already slepted there. It didn't bite us or otherwise bother us, so not a huge problem. The room was very basic and the beds were uncomfortable. The cleanliness of the property and the room was okay. That's with the exception of the carpet in our room. It was dirty and would be the primary reason I'd not stay at this hotel again. The breakfast was pretty good actually. If you like HIE breakfast, you'll probably like this one. We arrived at this property late and left early, so overall it accomplished what it needed to accomplish, but I wouldn't want to stay here multiple days.

I've been here off and on for 3 weeks. Staff is great and any minor issues are attended to promptly. I would suggest staying in the rear of the complex. Rooms facing Beach Blvd noisy.
I'd recommend it to anyone.

Horrible! To begin with they kept declining my card and told me my card was bad. After calling the bank we figured out it was the hotels computer problem. There are small bugs in the bathroom and outside the rooms. The floors are disgusting. My daughter, after crawling across the room, ended up with almost black feet and legs. I must of missed them knocking on the door to clean the room. When asking them to have maid service about 2:30, they were completely rude and said they might not have anyone that could do that?!?!?!?! The pool was dirty and needed to be cleaned. The only good thing was how close it was to shopping and the beach. I will not be staying here again!!!

I don't know why this hotel has so many good reviews! It is a dump. I felt like I was staying at a motel 6 the whole time. This hotel does not meet hotel standards and should be called a motel. For example you access the rooms from outside. Most hotels have added security by have the rooms located and accessible from inside the building. This hotel also had bugs in and around the rooms. Most of the staff was nice accept for one man who worked in the dining room area. He was ride and argumentative and talked to me like I was stupid.
We all wanted to leave as soon as we got there but it was to late to cancel. The only good thing about this hotel was the location. They even charged a $100 deposit for incidentals which is laughable because the rooms were already run down. We won't be back and I recommend anybody else look for a better option .

Went on a two 3 day, 2 night vacation! About 10 minutes from the beach. I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, the manager, Mike, is very generous and courteous. I had the King suite with a balcony. I would definitely recommend.

Super comfy beds with tons of pillows made it a perfect night sleep. Staff was very friendly too. Will definitely stay here again.

Rooms are comfortable and clean! Price was pretty good, stayed for one night only and left very satisfied. Also, breakfast is run-of-the-mill but not too shabby, will most likely stay here again.

Very rude and inpatient front desk staff. The room was adequate however the executive desk chair was malfunctioning and bent back way to far beyond horizontal angle and fell over tossing a disabled person to the floor. Very loud neighbors. Upon checkout tried to inform hotel management. The aloofness of this person is what made me upset. I was not informing them as a "sue happy" person. I was informing them because it could be a liability. Sir, your lack of responsibility or concern as well as no attempt of service recovery as a part of leadership is a bad testament to the Choice Hotel brand! The one positive I can give the star to is the breakfast which was well stocked. The breakfast service staff (1 woman) was the ONLY welcoming smile I received during our stay.
