Never had to be on bedrest but everyone here has made this the best possible experience for me while I️ am away from my family. Hats off to the Danbury Hospital Labor and Delivery Staff!!
The best hospital by far! Great highly skilled staff would never entertain the thought of going to another hospital! Poo Poo on you Danbury Hospital haters! This hospital took very good care of my dad and me when we had our surgeries! Kudos Danbury Hospital and staff my hats off to you !!!!!!
Have had many experience with Danbury hospital. I can't say enough about it. All good experiences, great doctors and nurses.
Hit or miss with doctors and nurses. I've had more good visits than bad ones, however the bad were AWFUL. Night staff are the worse. Rude, inconsiderate, apathetic and unorganized. Sometimes they forget you. I spent 4 hrs in a scale of 9 pain when my screaming alerted the doctor he seemed irritated with me. He treated me so bad, I signed a form, and left the ER. Second time I went in they put me in a room around 2am. I didn't get actual treatment until the morning staff came in. I had to tell them, a whole new set of people, why I was there again. Morning staff did treat me fast and great though. Like I said, it's a hit or miss.
Hands down WORST E.R. in history. Do not come here if you have ANY serious problems. You will likely be ignored and sent home. I have multiple illnesses and arrived tonight with chest pain and a heart rate of 120, and insanely high blood pressure. On top of that I had brutal joint pain and an agonizing migraine. I was sent home after an hour of a bag of IV fluids and a TECH DECIDED MY CARE, not even a doctor!! I asked to be admitted for the night for observation at the very least (then maybe I could have seen a doctor) but was told there was nothing wrong with me medically that was needed to keep me here. Are you kidding me?! JOKE of a hospital all around. I swear to god I will never come here again and neither should anyone else, not even if your dying. You'll be ignored. They don't care about their patients.
Nice people, somewhat decent care, but unbelievable billing errors. I am fully insured for ER visits. After a quick ER visit for my knee. Started receiving bills. I called and told the nice billing staff to bill insurance. I didn't understand why they didn't in the first place. Since then, I have been told on three separate occasions that the bills being sent to me are erroneous and I should ignore them they will fix it for me. I'm reluctant because, forgive me but I don't trust them, and I don't want this to escalate. I have been pushed to my wits end and this has been going on for more than a year with no change in the issue. This is either gross negligence or bordering on fraudulent billing practices. Again I don't want to escalate this issue but I don't see much other option. No one should have to go through this.
If you are injured go somewhere else. If the injury doesn't kill you, their billing dept might
My Father was admitted to the emergency room on June 7th and ended up having to have a procedure done which was a high risk for him in his condition, he had a complication after the surgury and ended up in the ICU.
The caring, compassion, attentiveness shown to my father and us as a family was amazing, we had one particular nurse for three consecutive days and she was tireless and on point and showed amazing compassion
I would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses from the 7th floor ICU for the care they gave my father Robert White Sr. during his stay there
My good friend sustained a head injury, initially I visited Urgent Care, and they strongly recommended I take him to danbury hospital.
Upon arriving at the E.R, I saw a lobby FULL of people. Upon asking the receptionist what the wait time would be, she had no answer. They took my friend's info, then after 2 1/2 agonizing hours, we were STILL waiting. My friend was shaking in pain and exhausted, I spoke to 3 individuals in the E.R and none seemed to care about my friends condition.
We ultimately left WITHOUT ANY HELP, because the hospital gave no indication that they intended to help us, but they said they're STILL CHARGING for the visit, it's their policy apparently.
I was stunned and appalled at what happened, hence the reason for this review. This may be an isolated incident, I don't know, but it was a horrible night. My friend got help the next day, from a place that wasn't associated with danbury hospital.
Spectacular service.. the whole cardiology department was FLAWLESS. Amazing demeanor especially when I was writhing in pain. Mrs. Zucchini was the absolute best!!
Very well attended by all, of attendant, nurses and doctors. Congratulations on making us believe that our health is in good hands! (Translated by Google)
My sister was in and out of that hospital following a small surgery that she had. She died 2 weeks after Christmas, at 30 years old, due to the Dr's and ER mistakes. She was 30! She never once thought she was going to die, yet she died alone at home from unknown complications after leaving that hell hole. 4 Days after she died the Dr's office called to confirm her next appointment. Are you kidding me?! They killed my sister and call my house asking to see her? They shouldn't have let her go at all from that hospital if they had diagnosed her properly. Terrible place.
