Just wonderful all around! I️ booked a couple nights as a quick getaway for my wife and I️ as a surprise and had a lot of pressure on my shoulders because my past record for choosing destinations has been very poor. Lol. Needless to say my wife couldn’t have been happier and we are already looking forward to a future stay :)

What to know: This former all-boys boarding school is an idyllic getaway, located in Washington, Connecticut on 58 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland.
How to Get There: Take the Metro North to Brewster, about a scenic 45-minute ride from the hotel.
What to Do: Stay in the newly-renovated Allerton Cottage which is right next door to the world-class spa designed by Randall A. Ridless, which glows in white like a scene from C.S. Lewis’s Narnia. Here, you can snack away, sit on the plush furniture and throws, or relax in the waiting room and gaze at the blue heron pond. If time permits, walk on the grounds that include a lovely Shakespeare garden and a poetry maze. A 10-minute drive off property puts you in Woodbury, the antiques capital of Connecticut, and there are vineyards like Hopkins Vineyard in New Preston, and Haight-Brown Vineyard in Litchfield where you can swirl a nice glass of honey nut apple wine.response / report this review -

I will never come here again. Used to be amazing under previous ownership but, its very clear Grace is about cheaper products with the illusion of luxury. I would literally recommend any another Inn in the area. I would go as far to say I would prefer a run down days-inn to this over priced wasteland. Drive past it, go to GW tavern for food or the White Horse. Better food for a lower price. Service sucks and management is a joke from what I can tell

Grounds are well kept. Food is satisfying. Not too much food to make you feel like you will explode, but not so little that you walk away still hungry.

Host and wait staff was very attentive. As soon as we needed anything, they were quick to come to the table. They were very friendly.
