Had been there for lunch buffet on Saturday afternoon. Expected lot of variety for weekend buffet. Very ordinary. All items are tasteless. Not a single item is fresh. It is not authentic south indian. Thandoori chicken was super dry, hard and tasteless. Chilli chicken is like rubber because coating.::extremely disappointed. Name of the restaurent Is not justified.

The name definitely does not justify the food. We were really excited to try the buffet they have every thursday night.. The food quality wasn't great, it was all cold and not fresh!! Dakshin seriously needs to up the quality of their buffet to even come close to authentic south Indian food. We will never go back.

This is by far the best Indian places I've eaten at.. they have some really good South Indian items on the menu as well as some great North Indian Cuisine and garlic naan bread .. the staff was really nice and and the service was great and super quick .
P.s don't forget to try some mango and pistachio kulfi for desserts

One of the worst South Indian restaurants in California, we paid for the shittiest buffet ever. In the name of sambhar these guys served raw tomato purée with some vegetables, every dish was bad. Just by giving an authentic name as Dakshin the food does not become authentic. You need extra ordinary culinary skills to make it work and for South Indian food one should keep it simple.

Do not eat here. when somebody says let's eat at Dakshin, run in the opposite direction!!!

Excellent mother's day buffet!! Complementary mango lassi for mothers. Taste of food was very good!! I'm definitely coming back with friends n family again!!! So close to home too!!

Had been at 6PM(after calling them), as google said it opens at 5PM. They were not ready and opened up the full buffet only at about 6:30PM. Food quality was just subpar. By around 7PM, the restaurant was almost full. It was evident that the management and the staff were absolutely unable to handle a full load. Would be my last visit.
