This is my favorite spot for wings. They are huge so you don't need to order a lot of them unless you want leftovers. I love to combine the dry rubs with the sauces to make different flavors. My favorite is the chili lime dry rub with the sweet chili garlic sauce. Good beer selection as well and a lot of TVs if you want to come here to watch a game.
What a dump.
There was debris all over the floor. The menus were sticky and worn, with many food items crossed out or altered with black marker. I ordered my burger well done. It came rare. The curly fries were cold.
I had to get my own utensils. I saw a waitress
carrying two entrees, one plate sitting on top of the other plate, in contact with the food.
They don't seem concerned with cleanliness or service.
I've been coming here since 2007. My friends and I still call it "George's."
I think it's safe to say I've eaten here 50+ times. The quality of food has always been exceptional. The service is good. The owners run a well organized and popular establishment.
Now that I live in Tucson AZ, I make it a point to come in and get wings every time I'm in the Chicago suburbs. They truly have the best wings in the Chicagoland area
Mouth is watering just thinking about having dinner there tonight for Monday night football :D
I did enjoy this place until Saturday afternoon when I ordered a vodka/Sprite and a beer. I drank the vodka/Sprite in one gulp and didn't realize until after the fact it was a vodka/water. I told the bartender I think the Sprite needs changed and she said she would bring me another drink. she gave me my bill after we were done and both vodkas were on there. when I asked her about it she said "well you drank it didn't you?" very rudely. I said yeah in one gulp so I didn't notice. she changed the bill only after I made a deal about it. She was one of the rudest bartenders I have ever met. not to mention the $1 little cup of bbqsauce for my onion rings. on the plus side, the onion rings were fire
Great outdoor bar! Late summer and nice temps so decided to watch the game outside. Yummy food, but they do nickel and dime you. $.50 for Mayo for a burger? That said, I'll be back for the wings and waffle fries. I Love Them!
Bad experience. I am surprised they get such a high rating. We sat outside which is a nice setting. That is why I gave it a star. I ordered a Stella beer which they told me is on special so get the larger one for same price as the smaller one. Great! When it arrives I can see before I tasted it that it wasn't going to be good. It was in a glass that looked 10 years old and there were no bubbles. Tasted it and knew straight away why they are trying to get rid of it. It tasted like old beer. Anyways. I went for their 'juicy burger'. It says it's a 30 minute wait but it is worth it! Well okay, lets go for it. At the end of my order I was told it only comes well done. I was some what confused but I thought this must be then something real interesting and special. Granted I did receive it 30 minutes later but the burger tasted horrible and guess what, it wasn't juicy. It was simply way over cooked with some sloppy cold wet onion strips on it. It was a joke really. I gave up after a few bites and settled for the mediocre fries. My kids had the standard stuff chicken strips, Mac and cheese and fries with fruit. I ate some of theirs because if you remember my burger was a joke. My kids food was standard pub food. No imagination or creativity there either.
It is a real pity that the food and drink is real poor here because the outdoor setting is nice. You got to change chef, food and if I took a peek I am sure that kitchen will need a good clean. Sorry for bad review, but I highly recommend not to get the burger, Stella and kids food. Perhaps their wings are good but I won't be going there for a while.
BEST WINGS AROUND!!! You get what you pay for. Love the salsa and Guacamole they have as a side. Onion rings are always fried right, never soggy. Staff is always welcoming and always checking to see if you need a refil drink or to make sure your food is good. I love that you can seat yourself, very clean. Gets pretty busy but it's worth it! Buffalo Wild Wings has NOTHING on this place I don't even waste my time and money at that place.
Been here twice (just today, actually), both for the wings. I don't know what magic sorcery they do but anything they fry comes out amazingly crisp and delicious. I personally like their rubs more because the sauces are a little too much for me, but they are still very tasty. Like this place a lot more than bdubs. On Thursday you get half off bone-in wings (10) with a drink/side. Their wings are pretty hefty, I always need a box to go. Waiting staff are nice and not overbearing.
Loved the WINGS. Beyond phenomenal. How it looked from the outside was very deceiving. Flavor just not completely unique but still amazing and satisfying food. Great stuff.
While they've tightened the purse strings as of late, charging more for sauces and even charging for celery, they still have some of the best wings in the area. They're huge and they have a massive selection of dry rubs and sauces. Just be prepared for a wait if you go after five on any day with a major sports game.
Really good wings. Especially the majeed wings with sauce. I found the rub a bit too dry. They advice not to take ghost pepper wings-heed to that advice.
Nice Beer selection and very reasonably priced.
Con- they don't cut the very end of the wings. I, for one hated it. That's just me. There pricing was reasonable, and I was happy to not eat the end piece.
I've been coming to Crosstown for nearly five years now, and pretty regularly at that. Much like my stylist, I can say with full confidence that I've never had a bad experience here.
The wings are, without a doubt, some of the best I've ever had, and I consider myself lucky to be able to eat them as often as I do. The service is always wonderful, and it's nice seeing familiar faces in the staff members.
While the wings do get much of the fanfare (and rightly so), that isn't to say that the rest of the menu is slacking in any way whatsoever. Everything I've had from the appetizer menu has been delicious, and the burgers are a real hidden gem here. Beyond that, though, I can't say, because I've never been able to pull myself away from the aforementioned items.
Pair all that with some good company, good ambience, and the restaurant's killer soundtrack (90s/00s alternative seems to be a mainstay), and you're guaranteed to have a good time.
Best wings anywhere! Large, meaty wings served hot with your choice of a number of sauces; sweet chili garlic is a must try. Get them dry with the sauce on the side or you'll have sauce dripping to your elbows when eating. I go right after they open at 11am and the service is excellent and there is no wait. Depending on when you show up you could be in for a long wait. I gave 4 stars due to my love of these wingshowever due to the following I'd normally rate it 3 stars; things are more expensive than I believe they should be and anytime I've gone outside of my 11am lunch (after work or on the weekend) service is usually terrible. A lot of waiting around for your server. Now we've had some exceptions but generally slow service.
