Worst customer service. We stay at Marriotts regularly and this one was so bad we left before unpacking. One room smelled awful and the next had bugs on the bed and on the table in the room and ants on the front counter at check in. The staff was unapologetic and said we were being picky. We cancelled our reservation. No one cleared up the ants off the front desk while we were there.
So far so good, here for a week on business. [ 2 days later ] If you can avoid staying here do so. I have noticed tiny insects in the room, might even be bedbugs. There is also a constant roar of airplanes flying overhead. At first I thought I would like this place. I have been here since 11/28, leaving 12/7. Only reason I've stayed is I got a package deal with Jet Blue, and it would be too costly to change.
This Courtyard was a good location for us, desk staff were polite and courteous room was decent although we were given a handicapped room which I did not request. At present there is some work going on out by pool area, concrete work etc. All the patio furniture was covered in dust from the construction (patio was open to guests) but we couldn't sit out without wiping furniture down. Garbage laying around in patio area, beer cans paint can covers empty coffee cups and the patio garbage can was overflowing, not sure why patio area/pool was even open? Not what I'm used to as a Marriott rewards member and frequent guest at Marriott properties. If you plan on booking at this location and want to use the patio/pool you may want to make sure the work has been completed.
Staff was friendly, quick check-in and adequate parking. The rooms need updating as the shower dripped when off and water stains are in the tub. There was a hole in the screen to my balcony & the balcony was dirty. Disappointed not what Im accustomed to from Marriott.
I travel to Fort Myers 1-2 nights a week for work and have stayed at this location multiple times. It's safe to say I will not be staying here again. My room was infested with fleas. I woke up to find my legs covered in fleas and I had bites on my legs and back. Disgusting to say the least. I alerted the staff during checkout, but I'm not sure what will be done. Beware if you end up in room 257.
I wanted to let you know that your delightful staff took excellent care of us for our meeting October 9 and 10th. Please extend my personal gratitude as well as that of the attendees.
Juan was very friendly and did a fantastic job of setting up for our meeting. He provided useful information about the projector, lights, and environmental controls without prompting.
The Chef came in personally to speak to us about serving lunch and offered to be flexible with our lunch time if needed; the food was plentiful and tasty.
The two ladies at the desk (and later at the Bistro) as well as the ladies who brought lunch and our afternoon snacks were all warm, friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect.
At one point I made the unusual request for a broomstick (an essential part of our safe lifting training). No one batted and eye, but went straight to work to find me something that I could use for my training session. The gentleman said, "I didn't have a broomstick, but perhaps this length of plastic pipe would work". His dedication to finding a solution, rather than just saying he did not have what I asked for is a fine example of going above and beyond.
I was also quite impressed with the helpfulness of one of the housekeepers. I was returning to my room and she stopped to ask if I needed anything such as extra towels or toiletries. I had some difficulties with my room card and she stopped what she was doing and waited to make sure I was able to get into my room before continuing what she was doing.
I am sure there were others who made our meeting successful and my stay pleasant whom I did not get a chance to meet or to call out specifically. Please thank them also. Everyone that I interacted with – without exception – was among the friendliest and most helpful staff I have encountered.
What ever you are doing to encourage this level of service - keep it up!
Words can't describe our experience. 5/5 stars.
Clean, well kept, every little need in the room was already in place,
Front desk staff, friendly and had us laughing, gave us insight to the Dinner train, This room was part of a package with the dinner train across the way, and a good deal all the way around. Pool was clean, court yard well kept, and the main lobby was relay cool and had nearly a full restaurant Serving breakfast & dinner. ( No Lunch ) but we can understand why. Great Job
We will return
This hotel was close to where I needed to be! The bed were super comfy, slept like a baby! The rooms were clean. The only down side was that the breakfast place didn't open til 7 so I was not able to try the food, but there was a McDonald's near by!
It's a good hotel to stay at and a good value. There only has been a few peculiarities with weird toliet roll placements, delays with room cleaning. Great staff and the food at the cafe is good!
This place would probably run better if All management got fired, due to a lot of favoritism between management and certain employees. The hard workers not favorites get treated like trash. The employee turn over rate is ridiculous. They continue to hire while cutting the hours of the ones that have been there longer again not the favorites . That sure isn't fair. So if you have had a bad experience don't blame the housekeepers, maintenance or any of regular employees Blame the management. This place is definitely overrated and over priced for what it is. So if any of the corporate people read this look into how employees get treated. And don't believe the words the management go to the employees. So on the note Management Step Up or Step Out. Learn how to treat good hard working employees!!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Close proximity to beaches, shopping mall, & our favorite restaurants. The staff was awesome & we were especially impressed with Mindy assisting us with info regarding local entertainment & influencing our decision to eat at your Bistro! Loved the Tomato Mozzarella flatbread!
Was very pleased with accommodations & staff was very helpful. Stephanie at Bistro was awesome. Her knowledge regarding food & drinks was impeccable. We will Def return!
Marriott has always been good, this time was horrible. Air conditioner was extremely loud even after we switched rooms, so loud that it woke us up every time it turned on. Cleaning service was a coin flip on the 4 night we stayed - front desk indicated we said refusal of service even though we were out by 9:30 AM every morning and never spoke to any hotel employee. Breakfast was closed one morning for no apparent reason. Location was decent, right next to a good bar. There were other places close by around the same price. Probably worth looking into these
