Not thoroughly pleased with my most recent stay in November 2017. This was the second year in a row we have stayed at this hotel and I am a frequent flyer of Marriott hotels. Last year we were given a great room on a higher floor this year two of us were stuffed into a first floor handicap room with only enough room for one person. Seriously, there were two drawer for us to try and get our clothes into and not nearly enough room for all of our things and us to roam for the 3 days were were visiting. Evidently the larger rooms and rooms on the higher floors were being used and saved for some hockey teams. But think visitor got stuck in a room that the sofa didn't barely even fit in. Oh well, better luck next time and I will make sure to not accept a room this small again. I should have taken a picture to show how stuffed in we were.

I have stayed at this hotel once or twice a year over the last 5 - 7 years. While most aspects of the hotel (rooms, Bistro, etc) are very consistent and what you'd expect from this brand, I am lowering my rating to three stars for one primary issue. THE FITNESS CENTER IS PITIFUL!!! It is a very small room with only one cross trainer and one treadmill, that are both outdated. There are some dumbbells, exercise balls and wall mounted bands also. The biggest issue for me (and a lot of others that I observed) is that everyone wants on the treadmill or cross trainer. Why does a hotel of this size have so little equipment??? C'mon Marriott, spend a little money and upgrade!

Clean rooms, friendly staff, but lack of help with baggage or luggage, very few services and decent wifi signal are some small drawbacks if I really had to be picky. A very nice and quiet place to 💤 sleep but kids smoking in the parking lot and running around late night show a clear sign no authority figures are present to help with problems.

Pretty standard hotel. Not too new and certainly not too old and run down. It offers some decent amenities, but doesn't seem to go the extra mile. I got a suite, and was disappointed with its lack of added features to distinguish itself from a standard room. All the room featured was more space. No extra sinks, bigger bathroom,etc. If I'd known that I would have booked a regular room and saved a hundred dollars.

The front desk heard we were in town from Texas for the birth of our grandchild and when we got back from visiting they had set up a blue balloon, personalized card and 2 coloring books for our 2 kids we had with us.
The place is not only clean and well kept the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay special. Thank you Melisa and Shannon for the thoughtfulness!response / report this review -

This is a nice hotel, friendly staff nice Courtyard and Lobby. That being said in some ways it's disappointing. For the same price you can stay at other Marriott Hotel such as Residence Inn or a Towneplace and get a lot more for your buck.
These hotel rooms don't have a microwave, or a safe. And there is no complimentary breakfast. So although it's a nice hotel, if you were to stay at another branch again such as a Residence Inn, for about the same price you can get yourself a There is a restaurant in the lobby here at the courtyard kitchenette and a really nice complimentary breakfast. There is a restaurant in the lobby here at the Courtyard, which maybe why they don't give you a microwave or free breakfast. They want to spend money at the restaurant.
There is no fire pit, even though their website says there is. The photos of the pool on Google maps is not this pool.
Again, it's a nice hotel but for the same price you can get a lot more at other Marriott chain hotels.response / report this review -

Everything in the room was in perfect working order. I really appreciated that the bed was not located next to the heating/cooling unit and that there was a thermostat on the wall. That made for a very well regulated room temperature. The room was well kept and appointed. Check-in and check-out very efficient.

The reason for my stay was a wedding, so it was a very short trip. That being said, I was very pleased with the hotel. It was clean, cozy and spacious. The staff was very friendly and thr location was perfect. It's just a quick shuttle ride to Pine Knob. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was courteous and efficient. I have only two complaints. One was the air conditioning unit. It made a lot of noise when it was running, so my sleep was disrupted. The second issue was that housekeeping left two conditioners, but no shampoo - a fact I did not discover until I was already in the shower. Not a good surprise!

Our room was clean and ready for us. Was a bit small to move around if you were a larger size. My kids tried to interact with cleaning lady but didn't speak English. It deff needs a hot tub. The breakfast was good wish the sandwiches had a side besides 5 pieces of fruit. When the door broke they were right on it to fix.
