Smells so good when you enter and the pastry looks good, but on my first time being there the gnats were bad and all in the cases. I had to just walk out.

Up 'till now had great experiences, but today I threw away the donuts when I got home because they were stale. Not sure if they were selling yesterday's or maybe the donuts aren't fresh if you purchase after 11 am, but something was very off and they should not have been sold

I tried their cookies last fall and I'd have to say they were not very good. I'd describe them as uneventful. No big bang moment with their taste. To me it seemed like they were made with dough used in making a cookie for consumption and not enjoyment. I would also add that many frozen cookies like you buy from GFS actually have a better flavor. Sorry guys, to me they're a bust! I haven't tried the doughnuts yet.

We got some donuts here when they first opened. and they were very good. they have gone WAY down hill. bought a dozen donuts and every one that had one said they tasted old. the "filled" long-johns had about a teaspoon of filling it them and were a complete waste of money

I love this place. Great tasting doughnuts and great coffee. They make cakes, cookies, brownies, amd other baked goods. Never a bad time.

Should I choose the huge glazed, the maple frosted with bacon on top, one of the jelly filled treats that would put another bakery to shame with the amount of custard in their doughnuts or another one of the specialized goodie makes it a hard choice. They also have beautiful pastries and baked goods too tempting to not consider. Great fresh coffee anytime of the day and wonderful service. If I could have given this place another star I would. Family favorite in the Down Town South Bend area and this from a family of townies!

I had to give up 5 stars.. Been here 3 times ..different times of the day.. Have always been greeted happily..everyone smiling and happily enjoying their work..it was dainty maid.. a south bend landmark.. Now cops n doughnuts . Coffee was good to better not the best..add in a doughnut and it makes the coffee a little better.. Great staff..Good job guys pat yourself on the back..
