Worth a visit for all ages. The museum has some outdoor pieces you can see when walking in from the parking lot and a kid friendly space on the first floor. They encourage interaction in some areas with pencils and paper to add your perspective. They offer free admission on Sundays, with the exception of the special exhibition. There is also a restaurant in the space. This is not a very large museum and you could probably spend about 2 to 3 hours here at most.

Pretty nice art museum. To be honest, there aren't a lot of great museums in Columbus. This is one of the better ones. Plus it's free on Sundays (at least for now), which is awesome!

I first visited in 2012 and was not that impressed. To be fair, it was partially under construction at the time. When I came back in 2017 it was much improved, inside and out. The exhibition of local artists was particularly interesting.

I still prefer the art museums in Cleveland and Cincinnati both in terms of architecture and collections, but Columbus is catching up!

While others revel in the mindlessness of Buckeye football, a quiet and incredible review or American and World art. Not an extensive collection, but enough key pieces to elicit the wonder needed to appreciate art. The interactive elements in the museum are unparalleled in any art museum I've visited in the world. The museum's small and approachable scale make it a wonderful place to enjoy art the way it was meant to be: intimately.

Parking is easy to find although it is $5. Which normally parking downtown is pay but this was on the museum property and you also have to pay admission. I really loved the French impressionist exhibit. With that said there was not much else there. There is so much empty space. Showcase more regional or local artists, something, half of the building seemed empty.

It’s a very small museum that feels more like a gallery of hodgepodge work that’s really reaching for content. However, I did appreciate the engaging little posts where visitors were encouraged to add their thoughts. And $14 for admission? Cleveland and Cincinnati have amazing art museums that are free every single day of the year.

Sundays are free - it's a wonderful day to see amazing works of art. The workers are very nice. If you're not into art, it's not a place to visit more than 2-3 times a year tops. I went there yesterday and I remembered a lot from my visit earlier in 2017.

I've been to the Columbus Museum of Art dozens of times. This past visit was the first time I've been since they opened the new expansion. To be completely honest, it was nice, but I wasn't that impressed.

There didn't appear to be "that much" art. There were a few gallery rooms empty so I'm sure they were either moving things around or awaiting new art. Either way, I'll return in the future.

Lots of great exhibits. They have lots of great activities there as well. Lots of super nice paintings and art pieces. They also have puzzles there of the paintings on display which is great for kids and adults. Some nice fountains outside as well.

Amazing museum. Great new facilities. Bob showed us around and was awesome. Very concise, knowledgeable, and just a good guy. If you want to explore some art with a great, clean experience come here

We found this place on a Sunday when it was free entrance. They have some very fine pieces of art like some of my favorite artist Monet. Was surprised Columbus can afford to have a museum like this. Really enjoyed the kids/hands-on-stuff they had to tell us to leave when they were closing and we were still engrossed in meant for kids activities :) Also really good cafe - and that it's pricey is to be expected at a place like this I suppose.

Really nice spot to spend some time getting to see a lot of very interesting and cool pieces. There's a lot of hallways and rooms so be sure to explore and walk through every inch of this place.

After moving to Columbus about ten years ago I started going to the Art museum on a regular basis as I was very impressed by some of the very famous art that is displayed there. There is even a Van Gough believe it or not. I've had the privilege of seeing many museums in my life including the Louvre, and this one ranks as one of the best. If you really like art this is one of the best Art museums in the country. There has been a lot of renovation recently and a lot of modern art has been added.

The art museum goes a long way to be welcoming to kids, which is nice as it let's us take them along. They really enjoy the activities area and the different interactive displays throughout the museum. It is also a great space for private events, one of the best in Columbus.

The Columbus Museum of Art was on my Columbus Bucket List and I'm really glad we finally made it there. There's a great mixture of modern and classic art and it was free on Sunday. We really appreciated how a lot of the exhibits included interactive pieces where patrons could comment on the art or create there own. The kids section was also quite entertaining for the adults! Parking was a little tricky since it was so busy but worth it.
