Nice hotel, in walking distance from everything. The hotel was renovating when we visited, so the lobby was moved to the fourth floor temporarily and the halls on the lobby floor had boards on the walls. This did not take away from our experience at the hotel. While waiting for am Uber we talked to one of the front doormen, he was very knowledgeable about things to do and where to eat. He was super friendly and appeared to really love his job. I would stay at this hotel again.
Great centralized location and many parts of hotel have scenic views of the city and lake. Inside it looks recently updated and modern. Good service, etc
We had an absolute BLAST yesterday evening for The Annual Thanksgiving Polka. The party rooms are on point! The lobby is perfect for small to medium musical group gatherings. I'll definitely come back every year for this!
The Marriott is a very clean, friendly, and rather nice hotel. The staff are kind and courteous.
While it's renovating, certain amenities aren't currently available.
I say the price should come down $50.00. Especially without many of their amenities being available.
*The escalators do work.
This is an excellent hotel! The staff is professional and they go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of.The rooms are Nice and clean and the hotel has a historical Old-cleveland feel. Great Place to stay!
Gorgeous hotel directly in the city center. This is not your average Marriott, we recall it to be more like a Westin or even a Ritz-Carlton. The lobby was super modern, with multiple bars and restaurants to please. The rooms were beautiful, with a rich wood surrounding the main furniture pieces throughout the room. Very clean. Not to mention, the staff in this hotel were very friendly and welcoming. Our advice to you is to spend a little more money for a little more luxury.
First impressions made for a bitter start to a weekend stay. Valet was rude and unhelpful. Construction forced us through a temporary main entrance with no help with luggage through a bunch of ridiculously heavy doors. Front desk staff tried to be helpful. Rooms were clean but nothing special. Wifi is not free and over priced. Construction at 8am left us unable to sleep or work in our room because of the noise, forcing us to check out earlier than we wanted.
The Downtown Marriot is an absolutely beautiful hotel with and A1 staff. Their staff is very very helpful and kind. They had great offers and many options for almost every budget. I would highly recommend staying here upon a visit of the great city of Cleveland.
Nothing bad about this place. Room service was very quick even during peak hours. Clean room, beautiful building. Fantastic bar and personable bartender. It's time they upgrade their tech to include streaming services as many other Marriotts have! But I'm sure that will come with time.
Arrogant and rude management/ front desk staff. Requested a check-in for Noon weeks in advance. Had meeting at 2:30 I need to shower and change clothes. They informed me that they were cleaning my room and it would be a 1 hour wait when I arrived at 12:30 (LIE) At 1:30 they said the room is clean, but it was going to be another 45 min wait for a supervisor to check the room. (LIE) I explained to them I had a meeting and I had a requested check in for 12, and they said "Requested times aren't guaranteed and it is first come first serve Sorry. We will call you when your room is ready"
I will never stay at this hotel again. Absolute joke. Bold faced Liars! Not a customer friendly hotel!
DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU ARE EXPECTING STANDARD TO GREAT SERVICE, BECAUSE YOU WONT FIND IT!
This is the place to stay when you go to Cleveland. If you are going to the stadium, its nearby. If you are going to the rock n roll hall of fame, Same deal. Aside from ease of access, they offer valet and the best breakfast ever. The room was amazing as well!
Conference rooms were great with good snacks. Facilities were clean and rooms were in great shape. Service was good as well.
Very reachable rates. The staff was exceptional. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Conveniently located to get around the city. I would definitely stay there again.
Right from the front door, you feel like you are at home. Greeted by Richard, 22yr veteran at the Marriott, he makes you feel like you have been best friends for decades. He definitely made my 50th birthday weekend a special experience. You can tell he loves what he does and is proud to do it for who he does it for. I will be sending Marriott corporate a communication about him. He is THAT good.
I only stopped in for a quick visit. The only interaction I have when visiting is with the front door staff. They are always so pleasant and helpful. It's nice to see them engage with guests in such a positive manner.
The location, downtown Cleveland with a view of the Federal Reserve, and the beautiful Cleveland skyline and river, never fails to impress. The service is stellar, the food is amazing, the bar was a comfortable place to chat & have drinks with colleague's. And the convention rooms were beautiful, and fit our needs perfectly. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
