Great food and service. Friendly staff and wait time is not that long. Fills you up very quickly.
Delicious Indian food with terrific service. Many, many vegetarian options. Restaurant was quiet and pleasant.
A very good fine dining restaurant. Excellent service polite staff and reasonable prices..
The staff are warm and friendly; the mango and pistachio ice cream finished off a wonderful entree- shrimp curry. I loved the Nepal mountain range paintings and cozy decor.
Food was phenomenal and reasonably priced. Signage isn't large, but can find if walking. Buffet had wonderful options
The portions are generous, and they listen when you say mild. The food is well seasoned beyond the hot-spicyness, and you can call in to take out. They are a regular restaurant as well with a bar. If you happen to be staying in one of the local hotels and want some Indian food, this is a very respectable choice that wont break the bank.
Really enjoyed our dinner here. Tasty home made food with all fresh herbs and spices. Great service. Loved the chicken Momo and lamb curry. Must return.
First time in Chicago and wanted to check out an Indian restaurant. Simple, yet elegant. I thought the food was fantastic. The Naan was fresh and choices were good. Calm, friendly staff as well. Would come back definitely!
Maybe it was just what we ordered but the food was decent but not great. The mixed tandoori grill had great chicken but tough lamb and a questionable white meat that was incredibly chewy. The daal was tasty. I would say the best was definitely the lamb green chilis. It wasn't spicy but the meat was very tender. The vegetable mo mos were too similar to Chinese dumplings and I didn't care for them too much. It was 10 bucks for a plate of 8. They had a nice texture but it jut doesn't seem worth the price.
Service was incredibly slow and not friendly, didn't talk or only spoke in a monotone near whisper. Had to actually call out to the waiter to get the check, which was then incorrect. The menu was not helpful if trying food for the first time. I was excited to try Nepali food, but then describing a dish by saying usual/typical Nepali spices gives no info. Worst bismati rice I've had in over 20 years of eating Indian food. Good points were vegetable samosas and mango lassi. The samosas and lassi were truly excellent, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of just one.
Great Indian restaurant! They may be pricey, but the food itself is great - I guess everything inside the loop is bit pricey so the price could be expected. Highly recommend!
Have always wanted to try Yolk but the lines are always so long. Now I know why. Got into the South Michigan restaurant to learn it is the original place. The menu is broad-ranging. My friends tried the crepes (there are 2 kinds!) and a custom omelet. I had the house-made greek yogurt and berries. The waiter was friendly and professional. The food came surprisingly quicklybut didn't look or taste like it was thrown together and we gobbled everything up with delight. Absolutely wonderful breakfast.
Amazing food, great service, comfortable atmosphere. During my visit I was the only person in the restaurant and the manager was so friendly with me. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area!
