I have to start by saying that this is HONESTLY the first time in my life I have ever given a bad review. I would not suggest that anyone move in to these apartment complexes! The management staff is simply HORRIBLE, there are no other words. The gate, while recently fixed, malfunctioned for about 4 years. One day it actually closed on my car while I was driving through (and no Cheswyck, if you're reading this, I was not following anyone out for the hundreth time). I had to pay $500 to have my car fixed. They were no help, they didn't even apologize. All they said was that they had never had any complaints about the gate before and that they weren't responsible. You can clearly read reviews on several sites where tenants complained about the gate so that's a lie! Be careful, because some of the gates swing forward and some swing out. In addition, the street lights have gone off several times and it always takes weeks before they are fixed. We even called Duke one time and they didn't even know there was an issue. Obviously Cheswyck hadn't even called them. There have been issues of theft and vandalism. My brother in law had his car broken in to and all they told him was to call the cops. Look, bad things happen and it's not the apartment complex' fault, but show a little compassion for your tenants. With me, just an apology goes a long way. Lastly, a maintenance worker came to fix a problem but it wasn't a good time and I asked him to come back. He got upset and tried to come in anyway! My nephew actually started crying and I again told him to leave. I called the office to complain but the manager wasn't available so I left my phone number and she never even returned my call! Please take these reviews seriously and find another apartment complex to live in. There are too many other nice places in Ballantyne that you can rent for the same price and be treated better.

Went to this apartment loving the floorplans, space and location of the property. Started filling out the guest card with the leasing agent and she asked me about my dog, I let her know we had a chocolate lab and she let me know that they had a 35lb weight limit on their pets, but they’re totally a “pet friendly” community. She then asked me if i would be willing to let my dog stay elsewhere in order to live at their property. WHAT A JOKE. Anyone who has a heart and owns a pet would not put the dog “elsewhere” to live in your community. This property should not get the title of pet friendly as they are friendly to small pets only. ✌🏼

I dealt with the leasing agent Brooke and she was so helpful! She went out of her way to make sure I had a great experience. Her enthusiasm and friendliness while working with me was one of a kind. SHOOTING! UNSAFE! WATER DAMAGE!
Gate is broken more often than not welcoming anyone who wants to drive through and do as they please.
People park illegally taking up multiple spaces with no repercussions. I hear everything the neighbor does all night - walls are paper thin.
There are nicer places for the same price and cheaper places within a few miles.
They came in to do something in the water heater closet and forgot to lock it back. Did not return my calls. Water is coming up through the floor in the closet too. welcome to cheswyck..

A great gated community to live in. I have loved the stay so far and have been getting prompt responses from the leasing team whenever required. The community is close to schools, grocery stores etc. The staff is friendly and its a great neighborhood. There is nothing called a "perfect" place to live as we all have different preferences and choices. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

It is one of the best apartments in Ballantyne in terms of amenities and it's the best in terms of rent and value.

It has a Best pool, multiple lighted tennis courts, lively grill area and open clubhouse party area, it's just as if you are in a resort. Any in house issues resolved promptly. It is Rich and clean community. Staffs here are amazing and friendly. Also it's in a very convinient location, what else one can look for?

The worst place to ever live, bug infested with dirty indoor air handler, my daughter developed asthma our 3rd month living there, they completely ignored to do anything about it until I had code enforcement come out and verify the inside unity was filthy and they had never followed a request to change my air filter, there was a maintenance check done which was a BIG JOKE to find out my air handler in my apartment was never the proper fit which means the air was not properly being filtered, dust buildup on a daily basis on air handler door inside the apartment, Nasty Nasty staff, maintenance and when you complain they will say of roaches and bugs are not a problem u til you get the proper authority involved. DO NOT MOVE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. I promise.

1. Prompt service on service request
2. Leasing office staffs are very friendly
3. Nice Tennis court and pool area
4. Awesome ambiance, well suited for Jogging and walk

Awesome place to stay!!! Location is excellent, close to the best schools and all possible amenities nearby. Apartment complex is really good and I have absolutely not a single complain till date (have stayed close to a year now). Leasing office people - everyone is very helpful and responsive at all times, I would definitely recommend this place if anyone is looking for a place to stay in Ballantyne.

I have lived here for almost 2 years and it is great. I have an upgraded apartment with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. Very family oriented neighborhood. It is gated and we have a police officer that lives on the premises. It feels safe. The grounds are kept clean. The staff are all nice especially April. I don't have many maintenance jobs that need to be done but if I do they fix them quickly. I live on the top floor so no walking sounds. It is also near alot of restaurants and shopping. Also it is near the interstate which makes commuting easier/faster.

Terrible management, they only care about the rent $$ they are getting. They advertise 2 pools and only 1 is in working condition, the one that is open is so gross you will get sick from swimming in it, the closed one looks like a dumpster pit. Very poor washer/dryers they are ancient and not dependable. Maintenance does the bare minimum to "fix" problems. I wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone. Overpriced and poor quality. And not to mention all the smelly Indians at this complex, they seem to be the only ones okay living in this kind of dump.

I LOVE the Cheswyck. I have been here since 4.24.16 and I am renewing my lease. I am actually upgrading to a larger apartment. The office staff is VERY welcoming and always helpful - - service with a smile! Maintenance at one point was a bit sketchy. However, it has much improved in the last 6 months and is now GREAT!!!! Problems are handled in a timely manner and the grounds are well kept. The maintenance staff are all personable and friendly. Also, the location is wonderful. Everything you need is right hereHarris Teeter, CVS, Walmart, restaurants, etc. In addition, Stonecrest and Blakeney are really close by. The complex has a tennis court, two pools, a grilling station and two small fitness rooms. Check out Cheswyck at Ballantyne, you'll be glad you did!

It is the best apartment in Ballantyne!

Why ? the reasons are below.

New manager:
personally looking at maintenance requests, that is the level commitment.
Ambiance:
Best pool, multiple lighted tennis courts, lively grill area and open clubhouse party area, it's just a vacation home
Life:
You feel healthy, active , energetic and prosperous may be due to its Vaastu (Suns energy on this place)
Maintenance:
In house issues were resolved promptly.
The location:
It is Rich and clean community.
The Price:
Best price for the SFT and nice floor plans
The staff:
I love the staff here(including maintenance staff) , They are amazing and friendly, the best in my 10 + years of apartment living.

Am I biased ?

I have provided tough critic review few months back, when there is long delay in replacing tennis court lights, nets, that was a poor service, its later fixed. At the same time I appreciated painting all the building's exterior and water washing patios and common ways, that's a great job.

Sure I will recommend this place to my friends
