Very warm and comforting. The views are just breath taking. Theres a creek you can find rubys and crystals in. Staff is great. They have a fire pit so you can have a fire and they do karaoke some nights. Restaurants are close by and tons of stuff to do with the whole family. The residents in town are just the sweetest!

I have never been treated the way I was here the owner was so disrespectful and rude that we will never stay here again they head roaches and bed bugs in there cottage I had multiple butts and had to go to urgent care for meds. There are lovely places to stay in Maggie but this place is not it

We rented 3 nights there. When we arrived the first night (like 00.30 after a 8h car trip) there was nobody in the office but a tlf number for these specific situations. We called like 20 times with no response. We finally had to go to best western and sleep there. We cancelled the rest of the nights and stayed in best western. Bad experience, Alamo Motel.

We Has a awesome time. Was a last minute trip to take kids to Santa Land. They made us feel so welcome . Had fire going at night and the Owners even cooked great pot of Chili for all of to enjoy. The lady who cleans even went and bought Marsh mellows ,Chocolate , and Graham crackers for the kids to do around fire. They made us feel like Family

The Alama Motel is a quaint place located on Maggie Valley's main road (Soco). Upon arriving fairly late in the night the owner was very helpful getting us checked in which was helped by the fact that she lives on the property. We stayed in a one bedroom cottage which had one queen bed, a futon and a couch. This place was a nice budget stay for one night however there were some cons. First, the room had tv but it did not appear to work. Since we only stayed one night it wasn't worth the hassle to troubleshoot. Next, the floors in the kitchen were sticky and even the carpet in the bedroom was sticky. Finally, there was a strong smell of smoke in the main bedroom. Overall, this place was fine for a one night stay but I wouldn't stay for any longer.

New owners I think. We stayed in a two bedroom, 2 bath cabin. Our friends got the master bed/bath. The second bath was teeny tiny, with a wobbly toilet and no sink. We had to wash hands in the kitchen. Our mattress was duct taped. It had a plastic cover and thin sheet that went crinkle crinkle all night. The Wi-Fi was very inadequate.

When I got to the front desk no one was there and I had to wait for like 20 minutes. Eventually I rang a doorbell outside and someone came. Kinda bothering. Seems like a cozy place though. Good rates though.

The hospitality, maid service was excellent! And also the owner is a wonderful person! They gave us clean towels, bike towels, and even gave us things for the room. Rooms were excellent, and clean. 😀🙌

Quiet and cozy mom and pop place! If your out on a motorcycle tour this is the place to lay your head at night! Very friendly staff! Park the bikes right at your room door. They even offer soft towels to wipe down the bikes in the mornings! Definitely will be stopping here every time I'm in the area.

My husband and I loves this place. We have stayed here for the past 21 years. Micheal and Dawn the owners are out of this world. They go the extra mile to do whatever they can to make sure your stay is wonderful! It's Pet Friendly!!!

Our experience with Dawn & Mike were awesome from the 1st phone conversation till our departure. Very friendly people. We rode our motorcycles from Ohio to meet long time friends for the weekend. We rented 2 cottages, they both were great, very cute, cozy and clean. Mike even started 2 bonfires for us to play guitar and sing by. Dawn has a very green thumb, the gardens were beautiful. I enjoyed playing Frisbee with their dog Gaston, when I could get the Frisbee back from him lol. We are definitely going to meet our friends back here again.

We loved staying at this picturesque and charming little motel. Dawn and Mike made our first visit to the Smokies so enjoyable. They were delightful, helpful, and provided wonderful suggestions and ideas for our stay.
