The rental process used by Greybeard was simple and complete. Most questions seemed to be answered before I could ask them. More importantly, my visit corresponded with the aftermath of hurricane Irma. I received a phone call from Greybeard indicating that the house I had rented was unavailable due to utility issues. This occurred just as I was boarding a flight to Asheville. I was assured that the matter would be resolved before I got to Asheville, AND IT WAS!. They found a different location and had the house ready before I arrived. In addition, they suggested several activities in the area of the new location that we might check out during our stay. We enjoyed the new location and the activities very much.

I travel frequently and normally a situation such as what occurred would cause considerable stress and likely end badly. The seamless adjustments made by the Greybeard staff and the very helpful/reassuring communications indicated a level of professionalism normally not experienced. I'll be back, and I'll bring my family.

I was planning a trip to Asheville for business and booked my trip through Greybeard Rentals website. The process was easy and I found what I was looking for quickly. The property was clean and exactly what I was looking for. I received several emails leading up to my stay that helped me prepare for check in, things to do, and check out process (I need that kind of help). I also utilized their app frequently to find my way back to the property after spending time in town, remembering my door code, and remembering what I was supposed to do when checking out. Lastly, I called the office and spoke to them about hiking options and they were able to give me quite a few wonderful options. Pictures included!

We really enjoyed our stay at Celia's Retreat. The house was very nice overall and was very clean. The front yard was fantastic. You can't tell from the photos but it is the front yard that is fenced in and there are a lot of woods inside the fence area for your pup to explore. The backyard literally backs up to a very nice hiking trail. We walked on that several times and always found it pleasant. Unfortunately, you can hear the road noise but you kind of get used to that.
Graybeard Rentals was very pleasant-particularly Susan who helped me with my reservation. And upon arrival, there was a wonderful pumpkin bread loaf that I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for sweet memories.

This was a weekend for my three daughters and me to reconnect as we are all scattered across the country! It was a break from the routines, from work and from young children. This remodeled farm house was so bright and refreshing. It sits next to a creek and sitting out on the deck enjoying the sound of rushing water and the beauty of a fall day was such a treat. We knew where it was located (a good twenty minutes outside of Asheville) so that was not a drawback for us. And if you like a firm mattress then there are no downsides to this lovely home. Thanks for sharing your family home with mine!

AMAZING!!! We are in the Old Fort mountains celebrating our 10 year anniversary. This place has everything we asked for. Quiet, amazing view, and excellent hiking trails that are close by(that have the most breathtaking scenery you could ask for). We will definitely be coming back here. Choose Greybeard for your next trip and you will not be disappointed, ask to stay at the Kitty Cabin!!!

We stayed in a fantastic vacation rental in Montreat, just outside the great little town of Black Mountain, NC. The rental was clean and well equipped upon arrival. Loved the amenities and location. The Greybeard team was helpful and friendly through the entire process. We would definitely rent this house again and would recommend Greybeard to anyone traveling to the Asheville area.

I have received a response to my review of 2 days ago as a hurricane evacuee. I did speak with two other merchants in Black Mountain who were so very gracious and agreed that for a mother and child evacuated you don't say "go to a shelter." You get someone from your business and CLEAN THE ROOM. Not only is it the right thing to do morally, but, it is just smart business.

The Treehouse was way overpriced for what kind of condition the house was in. Plus during my entire 4 night stay, there was constant dog barking from all four directions.
My whole stay was like as if I was above a dog kennel. Needless to say if you want a quiet atmosphere this is NOT the place. The staff at Greybeard are nice. I didn't appreciate the 9:20 am Email telling me I had to be out at 10am! Next time I need four day stay, a nice, accommodating hotel or B&B. Not this horror.

We enjoyed our stay at Carriage House in Montreat. Clean and cosy for a couple, or two couples using lower level. Fab screen porch is the best feature.
