The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was not much of a wine drinker before, but the staffs suggestions and food pairings definitely got me rethinking my stance. Highly recommended (especially the brandy).
We went to Chateau Chantal for a wine tasting. They were quite busy but the line flowed really well and we didn't have to wait too long. Bill, who helped us was a lot of fun and had really great energy.
My husband and I visited this winery/bed and breakfast to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We were not disappointed! The location was peaceful with beautiful views of the lake and vineyards on a high hill. We enjoyed the tastings and free glass of wine on the beautiful patio. The next morning we had a lovely breakfast prepared by a chef for the small group of bed and breakfast guests. After breakfast we went on a tour of the vineyard and wine making facility. It was so interesting to have the entire process of growing grapes for various wines explained. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and the room decor was beautiful. We look forward to returning in the future!
Loved the wine and the two patios with breath taking views. I really liked how they had different options for tasting. Instead of just having your traditional 6 pours at the counter you could opt for 3 larger pours to take on the patio.
Another great winery to stop at. A little more "uppity" feeling but I still felt comfortable here. Laura was extremely knowledgeable and lead us to wonderful choices.
We decided on the 3 tasters on the patio with the fantastic view.
Prices are comparable and you get $3 off a bottle of wine when you do a taster.
Great news good wine. It's nice place to just chill out on their patio overlooking the peninsula while sampling a collection of Michigan wines. When I went there with a couple of friends there were a handful of artists painting the landscape. That should should say something about the type of scenery you can take in at this Winery
My wife and I went here for a wine tasting and tour. We lucked out in that we scheduled 2 spots on a group tour but were the only ones to sign up so it became a private one. We are not really wine drinkers so we weren't sure what to expect. Our tour guide, Bill, was amazing and extremely knowledgeable about the whole process. He broke it down so even we felt like experts leaving the tour. The tasting was definitely the highlight though as it's in a beautiful private room with great views of the grape fields. We got a little tipsy off the samples as you get 5-6 pours depending on your selection but there were plenty of areas to relax, take in the scenic views, and visit to let the wine sit a little. The only disappointment was that it was a black out date for the dinner service and that you have to schedule a dinner experience well in advance. It gives us something to look forward to when we come back though.
This winery has the best view I have ever seen. You can get a flight and sit out in the deck stippung delicious wine. The prices are reasonable and many drinks include a glass you can keep.
Great experience with the staff. They provided great recommendations for wine during our tasting. The wine was great although some bottles were a bit pricey. The view was impeccable.
We went there to taste wine. The layout of the building was nice. The staff were knowledgeable, and the service was fast. The wine itself was very good. I was pleased with my experience.
Beautifully placed building atop a large hill next to the ocean. Went in for a wine tasting and was given six tastings and a glass for a reasonable price. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly but the wines were not all the impressive. Many lacked any depth but the scenery makes up for it.
