It's been great. The hotel staff is very nice, the shower is wonderful, and room service is reasonable. They're making my stay very easy. I would stay here again.

Pay to play hotel. Want coffee? Pay for it after the one free one you get in the room. Want internetyou have to pay. What am I paying for in the room rate? Should have stayed at a normal hotel.

Pros: The staff is friendly.  The hotel is quiet.  Rooms are clean and spacious.  Great access to restaurants and shopping.  Not too far from Uptown.  Free parking.

Cons: The M Club Lounge is extremely disappointing.  Refillable water bottles are often unavailable, the selection and quality of the breakfast buffet and evening hors d’oeuvres are lacking, food is often times undercooked, beverages and snacks are frequently out of stock, condiments are non-existent.

Additional staff is needed in the lounge.  One person (as currently staffed) cannot maintain food, clean seating areas, take drink orders, etc.  I have often times finished eating before a staff member is available to take my drink order.

It was very nice Marriott. The staff was always friendly and helpful. But my one concern water that they didn't have bottle water in the M Club for it Platinum Members. I noticed that others complain about it as well.

I wanted to post this so others who are considering staying at this location do not and are aware of the dangers of doing so.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte SouthPark on August 17 to August 20, 2017. During my stay at the Residence Inn, there were at least 3 other car break-ins/theft and I was a victim of a hit and run, part of these events. I parked within the Residence Inn's premises as directed by the front desk staff.

When I inquired about how often criminal activity occurs at this location the manager and police officers notified me that there has been multiple criminal activities that have occurred throughout the past months and year prior to my incident. When booking my hotel, I always verify that a hotel is in a 'safe' area. I am confused as to why no criminal activity mitigation strategies have been put into place to rectify this issue. If there has been multiple break-ins and hit and runs why haven't cameras been installed or the area fenced in? I was further surprised to learn that the Residence Inn doesn't even record the vehicle license plates of their clients. As a Marriott branded hotel I expect their customers security to be a priority, but it seems to me that this location has not done their due diligence in this matter.

I am appalled by the quality of service (or lack of) by the general manager. The morning of August 20, the police officer asked the manager to call the general manager to come onsite. however, the general manager stated she was with her son and would not be coming in. The manager then told me that general manager would be contacting me Monday morning with a plan how the Residence Inn and Marriott insurance would be taking care of my incident. I have received zero communication from the general manager or from corporate and have had none of my phone calls returned.

I am very unsatisfied with the way the Residence Inn has handled this incident and hope this helps others make a decision about where to stay in Charlotte and South Park. There has been zero resolution here and terrible communication.

Avoid at all costs, this is a very unsafe place where security is not a priority or concern of anyone.

Beautiful hotel, newly remodeled, nice staff. Bed were very comfortable and the wood look flooring in the rooms instead of carpet was a nice touch. Only reason I dock a star is we requested additional pillows in the room and when we got back at 1 am, they weren't there. I would absolutely stay again.

The hotel was very nice and the rugs were amazing The rooms had hard wood floors and the hallways smelled like da freshness!!! The late night lady double charged us.. She needs to prob find a job else where But other than that crazy night front desk person.. This place was very nice!! BTW the ac in our room was weak and not strong But we managed by keeping the refrigerator opened!

Hotel rooms were beautiful and newly renovated. Lobby was clean and pretty. Most staff were friendly and helpful- some seemed annoyed. The hotel was 100% booked and they ran out of a few things like blankets and coffee, but some employees seemed annoyed at us for asking. I'm sure they'd been asked a dozen times by other people, but it was the first time I had asked and it felt rude and unwelcoming. The bar seemed great but we didn't end up ordering there. We didn't get breakfast either but my Marriott breakfast experience in the past has been great. I think it would've been the perfect experience had they not been so busy with people clearly fitting more guests in their rooms than they put on their reservations.

Overall very nice. Rooms very modern and clearly recently updated to be super pleasant and fresh. Our request to the front desk for extra glasses for the room took around 30-45 minutes though. Also the elevators were dated and slow/loud. Very excellent experience overall though! Would definitely recommend.

Once again, my stay at a Courtyard by Marriott did not disappoint.

The staff was wonderful, the room was excellent and the location was perfect.

Not one negative during my stay.

I highly recommend this hotel. It was a very enjoyable experience.

This location is nice and very business savvy. It is right across from the SouthPark mall and surrounded by all types of specialty stores. This is a shoppers Paradise! If your in the market for almost anything it is literally within walking distance. They have plenty of parking, and it is minus all the hustle and bustle of Charlotte's Uptown area. The rooms are elegantly designed, spacious, and room service is only a call away. Staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the city's nightlife. It was an excellent experience being there.

The rooms are great and comfortable. Both chic and modern. Staff is very friendly. Food is excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

Side note: I've been to my share of hotels - this was my first experience at one where they had sea salt hand scrub available in the lobby restroom. I'm pretty sure I've spent over 30 minutes cumulatively within a 12 hr period washing my hands. That @#&$ is amazing! :)
