Red seats turned black they’re so dirty and we’re not recliners like most are these days. Worse the video was not HD. My TV at home is more cleargo somewhere else
Kind of confusing with al the old muvico signing up but amc but all muvicos. You just have to know that I guess.
The seating is not nearly as nice as the other theatres in the area. We've had 2 occasions where the lights were left on for about 75% of the film. It's often hot inside and your lucky if the sound is of an acceptable level. I've had to mop up the floor where we wanted to sit.
No employees around, I shouldn’t have even bought a ticket because the security guard wasn’t even paying any attention. People were sitting in my paid for DBox seat, but I had to ask them to move since there were no employees terrible experience! If I could give zero stars I would.
The theaters smell like mildew, the seats smell like old shoes and mildew. You walk in a theater, you get smacked in the face with the smell. Not enough people working concession and when you have to buy the tickets and get food, that's even a longer wait, no tp in the stall I was init use to be nice now it seems to be not well taken care of anymore.
Very cool theatre with an old school design inside. Strangely, when I saw an evening weekday showing a couple weeks ago they had a security checkpoint at the door and I was carded and asked if I had weapons on me. A rather hostile greeting that would do little to prevent someone bringing in a weapon - they can just say no and walk on in. It is nice to know there's armed security on the property though.
I've never had such an odd experience at a theatre. I'll still come back though.
Decent, but will soon have to upgrade seats/venue like many of the other theaters in the Tampa Bay area. Helped by a good option of places to hit before/after a movie.
Cool decor. Bring a jacket. Very cold in the theater.
AMC has ruined my previously favorite movie theatre. I've always appreciated it being 21 and up on the weekends, but now they don't let me put vodka in the icee and they won't even sell alcohol past 11pm. The movie times usually available later at night have all been pushed back to earlier times. The bureaucracy is wrapped around thick and you can sense it in the employees, when before they would try you like an old friend. I hope AMC gets bought out. Other than that, decent screen, usually clean, seats aren't special. It's no different than any other theatre now so might as well go to one of the Xscape theatres near by with the comfy chairs and better ticket pricing. Still less packed then most theatres though so 3 stars.
This movie theater has a less chaotic crowd compared to your local theaters. They serve alcohol and prices overall are decent. The design and ambiance of this venue is classy and relaxing. Once the movie is over you can walk around the Ybor area to find something new!
