Updated: Wow, I was cautiously optimistic that my lumbar spine stem cell injections would work at all and I'm here 3.5 months later to report I am pain free!

I had my procedure December 15, 2017. It is now April 3rd and I've been pain free for four weeks. It's a strange feeling, I'm expecting the pain I've been suffering from for 2.5 years to be there and it's not - it's completely gone. I can think clearly, I can work and I can invest time with my family without being overcome with chronic back pain. Your results may vary, but just these four weeks of relief have been an incredible blessing and an outright miracle in my life. I will update as I progress.

Note: Each person is different, but I was pretty locked up and guarded after the procedure. I couldn't do a lot of things. Let me be clear, the procedure was highly worth it and I progressed each week, but lumbar spine injections kept me in bed for at least a week, from picking things up off on the floor for a month, tying my shoes for two months, and from holding my 15lb son for about two months.

Old Post: Really happy with my experiences and interactions with Dr. Pitts. Great communication and explanations. He was running behind one day for our appointment and yet he invested time with me answer 30 minutes of my questions like he had no other patients the rest of the day. Dr. Pitts responded to one of my emails while on vacation and then another on a Saturday when I wasn't expecting to hear back until the next weekday or later.

The PT Mark Reilly has been very helpful as well. I have worked with 6+ PTs in my life and Mark is top notch and offers a great perspective and helped me to dial in some exercises and to help assess my own progress.

I'm not cured yet but treatment is scheduled. I hope to report back with great news. At the very least I understand my issue very clearly and my other orthopedic offering spinal fusion is out of the picture and I understand very well why that would have been a horrible choice for me.

Wonderful place! Dr. Hyzy has helped me tremendously. I wish insurance would cover the cost but it's worth the money. Currently trying to save so he can do a stem cell procedure in my lumbar disc I feel would greatly change my quality of life.

Thank you so much for the wonderful care I received last week at the Centeno-Schultz clinic for my knee injuries. Without exception, the staff was friendly, professional and committed to excellence. Dr. Schultz was exceptional, and I am certain that I would not have gotten through the week without his astute competency and brilliant mastery of pain management. I think that my knee is doing well -- the swelling is mostly gone, it does not hurt and my range of motion is increasing by the day. Thanks again to Dr. Schultz and the entire Regenexx team!

This clinic and Doctor John Pitts are truly amazing. In my case, Dr Pitts has given me a life again. I was at level ten plus pain level constantly. I had very little use in my left leg and was unable to do anything except sit in a recliner. The pain was so intense much of the time, I could not keep meals down. L

I went to five different back specialists and after reviewing my MRI all of them advised me that there nothing they could do to help me. I was extremely depressed and had given up all hope for any kind normal life. All that I had to look forward to useless life filled with horrible pain.

I have had two sessions now with Doctor Pitts. My pain level has reduced by 90 to 95 percent. I am able to walk without a cane and without the horrible pain I had been experiencing for the past ten years. I am able to perform fairly complex tasks which I thought I would never be able to do again. I am writing this evaluation from a deer blind while on a hunting trip, another of life's pleasures I have been unable to enjoy in over ten years.

Dr Pitts and group at the Centeno Schultz Clinic truly perform medical miracles.

Thank You All for restoring me back to life without excruciating pain.

Dr. Pitts is an amazing physican. His treatment of me was phenomenal. I would rank my experience with him in the top three of my physician experiences. He not only know his stuff, but, most importantly, he is a compassionate and patient physician. He takes the time necessary to explain diagnostics, to explain treatment options, along with their pros and cons, and to support and answer any questions for his patients until they understand and are comfortable with the process. He also goes that extra mile!!!!! He really cares about his patients. I would recommend Dr. Pitts in a heartbeat!!!!!!

I had stem cell procedure on both knees in May , 2017 and just recently had booster shots in both again. I found Dr. Pitts to be very professional with a great bed-side manner. He, along with the entire staff, was friendly and supportive and are truly interested in my progress. I feel like I can contact the clinic or Dr. Pitts directly at any time should a concern arise. If someone wants to avoid more invasive knee replacement surgery this Centeno- Schultz Clinic and Dr. Pitts is an excellent choice to seriously consider.

My daughter is a preprofessional dancer. She had tears in a couple of tendons in her left foot, and doctors wanted to perform a very invasive surgery to fix them. The recovery would have been of 6 months with a high chance she wouldn't have been able to dance again.
Dr Markle gave her the most accurate diagnosis, and proposed PRP injections. After two sets of injections and PT, she's back on her toes, literally. The pain is gone, and the tendons have regenerated to the point of healing. Dr Markle and his team gave her back dance and health, and I couldn't be more grateful. Would highly recommend him.

My daughter and I were both patients of Dr. Shultz for over 5 years. Both of us were pleased with the outcomes. The staff is amazing. But recently, my daughter after multiple PRP treatnents on a bulging disc got zero pain relief, with over $5,000 in out of pocket expenses.

We called and emailed multiple times asking about other options available with NO reply. This was troubling beyond belief. We thought they cared but obviously they didn't. More than anything the inability of Dr. Schultz to respond was devastating after such a long Dr/patient relationship.

We have since gone on to other options with better results.

I will stick to just the facts. First appointment cost $550, I was told that I had three tears in my right and two in my left shoulder and had a 30% chance that the stem cell treatment would work. I forgot my MRI so I came back and Dr. Shultz spent 10 min then had to leave and it cost $160 and that my neck needed treatment. I ask if I could have one shoulder done and the answer was no, two for $8,000. Neck for $2,000. Next I scheduled an appointment and was given the patient package that said there was only a 20 t0 40% chance that they would get sufficient stem cells to do both shoulders. Then why would they not let me do one shoulder because they were not going to get enough stem cell to do both. They are more interested in the dollars than the patient. Dr. Shultz is in such a hurry that his explanation are confusing, I had another person with me who agreed we did not know what they were going to do with the left, right shoulder and the neck.

I'm giving the Centeno Schultz Clinic staff and Dr. Schultz 5 stars. The medical assistants and rest of the staff do an outstanding job with their procedures and communications. Aimee was especially helpful in scheduling my appointments and communicating with me via email, my preferred method. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Schultz, he potentially saved me from having unnecessary hip surgery. Of the Doctors I have seen for my hip and back pain, he is by far the most intelligent and caring. I was impressed with the detail in which he read my MRI's. He is dedicated to finding the root causes of pain and treating for the best long term outcome. I have already recommended Dr. Schultz to several of my friends and family and will continue to do so.

I wish there was two separate review segments for this office. I only saw this clinic one time. At that time I purchased in full an immobilizer brace. No paperwork was done, no waiver or other agreements, only a credit card receipt was signed. Then 1 year later I started getting bills from a collection agency, out of state of course, for the same brace, for the same amount.

The doctors here are very good. Do they sell off patient information to illegal billing practices, I cannot say, but it certainly seems this way. If you see this clinic, and I am by no means not saying don't see these guys, I would recommend the doctors definitely, just be wary on purchasing any medical equipment from them.. Dealing with a bogus collection agency over a year after the fact, extremely infuriating-

I'm kind of surprised with some of the reviews here. I've had 6 or 7 PT appointments now for my knees with Mark Reilly. He's been great, very helpful, and the front desk folks have been really awesome as well. My first appointment was an assessment, and while I hoped I would get some things to work on right away, I understood during the appointment that the assessment is more important to the therapist so that they know how to treat the patient. They can't provide (and you wouldn't want) treatment based on guesses and assumptions. Mark has been very helpful for me, and has given me a wide array of exercises to use and a strong understanding of the underlying issues going on with my knees. Contrary to some of the other reviews, I highly recommend Centeno Schultz and Mark Reilly. In my experience with PT I've learned you have to accept that things will progress over time. Dry needling was the most noticeable and fastest acting treatment for me so far for those who are interested.
