The location of this hotel is fantastic. Great breakfast every morning, with a lot of health options. Friendly and helpful staff. Up to date rooms.
Now for the bad. The AC was a little weak. I had the temperature turned down to 50° all weekend. In reality the room temperature was only down to 70°. I think the user control aspect for the AC maybe fake, as in the air temp is preset. I'm someone who needs the noise of a fan to sleep. This little a feature was lacking. Second issue was how loud certain guests were, the walls aren't the thickest. There were drunk groups of people rolling in at 4-5am most nights. Screaming, being loud. Yet the front desk clerk didn't do anything to settle them down. Disappointed. I suppose my second complaint is expected. The location is smack dab in the middle of the bar and club scene.response / report this review -

Hotel is nice but gets bit pricey over long weekend. Expected but for the price it's bit to expensive. Was actually able to find better deals on hotels tonight day before but cavalier has not favourable cancellation policy. Also 15 dollar resort fee is a joke and breakfast is real bad. Rooms are cost and updated. Location is amazing. Will probably not be my first choice

I’ll start by saying the rooms were nicely renovated and clean. However, the negatives outweighed the positives. First and foremost neither the fan nor the air conditioning worked in our room, followed by the elevator not working, and we were on the 3rd floor. The room lacked basic items like a door latch, tissues, bath mat and battery cover on the remote control. Not having air conditioning was made the entire stay extremely uncomfortable.

Very cool hotel! Location is awesome! The rooms are a bit tight, but who comes to Miami to hang out in their rooms, right? It serves its purpose. There is a club right next door though. I’m currently unable to fall asleep because of the music coming from it. I can hear every bass thump, and make out every word in the song.. it’s that loud. I understand it’s not the hotel’s fault. Just make sure to ask to not be on the club side, if at all possible!

Fabulous barely describes. Charming rooms, but small. Feels like 1936, but updated air and electric. Elegant breakfast that is super fresh bread, and fruit, even champagne. Great location. Captures the essence of south beach

The location is amazing.. Right across the street from the beach. The rooms are small but updated and clean. We stayed here for one night and luckily for us it was quite at night because the walls are thin and you will hear everything happening outside. There's a good parking garage behind the hotel which was convenient.

Absolutely love this hotel. I almost don't want to review because I feel it's a hidden gem. I have booked here twice in the past year, overall it really is a lovely experience. It's located on Ocean drive, but far enough away from the club or tourist chaos. Its a nice walk to the Lincoln mall area, and just across the street from the beach. I love their morning breakfast and unlimited cups of coffee. The decor from this hotel is a Goddess nostalgic theme with large pictures of Elisabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly and other nostalgic figures from the past. I also really dig the Frank Sinatra and oldies jazz the play at this hotel. This is really a lovely place. I love it.

The lobby is gorgeous. The staff is very nice. Very unique hotel. Clean-- which is important. The breakfast is lovely great way to start your day. Location is awesome. You wake up, have a nice breakfast, and walk across the street to the beach. I'd definitely come back.

Clean rooms. Very attentive staff for breakfast and room service. Front desk staff amazing they let us check in earlier. The rooms are large especially the king size bed. The towels and sheets were clean and smelled good. Alao the lobby smells amazing. It is a good hotel

Cool rustic yet modern look. Nice modern rooms comfy beds and great tv service. Breakfast was small but high in quality, meaning it tasted very good. We stayed for three nights and the room was small and the bathroom door was really annoying. It gets four stars because of price, quality of food and room, right on the beach, and a decent service.

I am very happy with my stay at Cavalier. The hotel I comfortable and beautiful. Good beds and quiet rooms. Especially the air conditioning is very quiet. The breakfast is delicious. Helpful staff. Parking garage just around the corner cost 20 dollar per night.
