I had a wonderful experience at the ER with Catawba Valley. I did not have to wait to be seen, they followed all the precautions, all the nurses were wonderful & the doctor was great. The male nurse, Kaylor, was amazing and explained everything. A huge thank you & happy holidays to you all.

Absolultely horrible. I asked for an alternative antibiotic and was lied to stating there wasnt one. Then i was told to "put on my big girl panties and deal with it". I will never go back again. Terrible care and treates disrespectfully.

I brought my child here because she fractured her arm. It got caught between the mattress and footboard of the bed. We took her to receive treatment they called child protective services. Also we got there September 10,2017 at 4:30 p.m they didn't treat my daughter for any pain the whole time social services were there my daughters arm was not put into a sling until 10:45 p.m. she was crying in pain the whole wait. We are also facing having our kids taken. We did not harm our child we love our children but I'm filing a lawsuit against this medical center. If your children are injured by accident don't bring them here they will call child protective services. Our daughter has a spiral fracture when I found her her arm was stuck between the baseboard and the mattress pinned and she was bent over the foot of the bed her arm was twisted and all her weight applied. I explained this to child protective services they said there is no way her arm could have been fractured from that. She didn't have a songle bruise on her body and neither does my son but they are claiming her arm was broken due to abuse. Your supposed to be a medical center but my wife had to deal with child protective services before my child was treated. Don't bring your injured children here you may lose them to CPS.

Absolutely Ridiculous! I must say that the ER has definitely died and lost its tenacity and educational efforts based upon the service that my father received on 8/28/2017. He presented to the ER with abdominal pain , fever of 101.7 , very Tachy, elevated Platelets and an elevated BP. Once I had gotten there, the was an 18ga. established in the Right AC , with labs drawn. There weren't any fluids administered or any pain meds given as well as an EKG or any type of Sepsis Protocol initiated. Im pissed right about now especially seeing a family member lying there and none of these protocols initiated. His nurse was very vague, didn't scrub in or out and only provided information about his care and procedures when we asked. The doctor then came in about 4 hours later then stated that his Gall Bladder was Gangrenous and more in likely he would need surgery. Only then after 4 hours did he order fluids in which he stated that he forgot about ordering as well as pain meds. Im telling you folks.at least do some type of education and investigation before you go to this ED. There's more to say but enough is enough. I do wish that they would be more tenacious and educate the patients fully on the whole process of their care. Good Luck and keep your eyes open.

I was physically assaulted by an out of control phlebotimist??? And lied about in my medical records and not given any medical care at all
Abused by patrick van meter, he is rude and abusive and hostile. This place didn't even keep track of its horrible staff to know who stabbed me violently during a blood draw which was completely unprofessional even after I complained about what she was doing to me she did it anyway and was very abusive and aggressive and the nasty horrible staff here who handles complaints acted like it was acceptable behavior including violating my rights to privacy and contacted my doctors causing me to lose one for no reason at all. They didn't care what they did to me and all the damage done to my life because of this horrible nasty place. They don't track their evil employees to be able to file a complaint against them and they don't care if you are abused assaulted or lied about in medical records or given horrible care or your HIPPA rights are completely violated their attitude was yep that's what we do here!response / report this review -

Terrible every time. I'll just die in comfort at home. Every relative and friend has had horrible experiences here. Extremely long waits. Careless doctors. I was charged 1300 for an er visit that included two roles of gauze, two ace bandages and a prescription for antibiotics. Did not clean or touch my wounds. Wrapped in gauze and sent me home badly infected. Two nurses were very concerned and wanted to do an ekg but after speaking w the doctor(realizing I had no insurance) they sent me out after 7 hours of writhing in agony. The US healthcare system is pathetic and it's extra bad in this area.

If I were a crook I would love this place. I now know a little old ladies social security number. I now know people's full names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses and their insurance carrier. Oh yeah, what about that HIPPA thing they seem soooo concerned about? These people are so unprofessional and careless with such private information. I also know what the diagnoses and treatments are for all the people surrounding the room I have been in for 3.5 hours so far. The wait is incredibly slow. So far 1xray and 1 scan for a broken bone. Wow, that's all I can say. Oh, and they forgot about me! Literally one nurse "thought" the other nurse was tending to us!! What a place.

My experience here on 5-22-17 was horrible i was scheduled to have a colonopsopy i got called back around 12 my procedure was suppose to be at 1:15 around 12 they attempted to get a Iv in my arm needless to say this went on from 12 until 1:30 when they finally gave up i wasvstuck about 15 times that i could count one of them was so bad that it got infected i cant even raise my arm. I called them to file a complaint to let them know what happened asvof now im waiting to hear from them thinking about talking to a lawyer. I will never go here again the last time i went for a endoscopy and 2 days later ended up with pneumonia i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.😠😠😠😠ðŸ˜

Went in today before 12 and there was only one person behind me. I went in because my 10 month old daughter was so backed up with poop that it couldn't come out for weeks and her butthole kept bleeding. So I took her to the emergency room and was the second person in there waited for hours and still she wasn't seen. The all the nurses and doctors are sitting in the hallway just laughing and carrying on. After 4 hours I called her doctor and they said that that was crazy and they were able to see her faster than the emergency room when there was nobody in there they told me that my daughter wasn't a priority and that the of that other people kept coming in that needed to be seen first. This is the first time I've ever left a hospital without being seen treated talk to taken care of or anything I'm very unhappy about my visit and even if I'm dying in the parking lot of that hospital I will still drive all the way to another one to be seen because it's the most crappy hospital I've ever been in. A baby should be a priority! Especially when she's 10 months old her bones literally cracking open and bleeding is he still constipated and the nurses didn't give not one f***. I want hundred percent do not recommend this hospital or emergency room to anybody because you're all not a priority and you're not going to get taken care of and if you go there expect to wait 3 hours to even be talked to every single time!

Staff made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Checked vitals only once in the 4 hrs I was there for a head trauma. Gave me benadryl which I've never had before and left me alone for 2 additional hours with no checkup. I will not be coming back. The room was filthy. Trash was overflowing when I arrived and they just kept piling it on as items would fall to the floor. There was some syringes and a bloody gauze pad as well. Thoroughly disgusted.
