Had total hip replacement surgery in Sept. 17 and the surgical experience was fine. Always best to try and get out of a hospital as quick as possible so that was my goal. Nothing special about my 2 night stay. Hospital type food, I had my own room.

Nearly killed my grandfather on two separate occasions (both times my aunt, who works as a paramedic, intervened) and they did nothing to treat my grandmother who sat in their ER for 4 hours having a mild heart attack. She was sent home and then went to a different hospital and was told she had had a heart attack and should have been treated. Our family has been lucky in our experience here but we now drive 30 minutes away to a different hospital.

They will send you home even if your dying. Don't recommend to anyone, Although they recently changed caldwell memorial to partner with chapel hill so I assume and hope things will get much better.

I had a wonderful nurse Melissa Brewer! She made me feel as if she really cared how I was feeling and that she truly wanted to see me feel better! I didn't feel like just a patient! I would recommend putting trash cans in patients bathrooms it would just make sense and help cut down on germs! Thank you Melissa for taking such good care of me! Your awesome!

My son just had to visit the emergency room for a work relayed injury. He had dirt on his hands and around the wound. They sent him home without so much as a Tylenol being given. And sent him home with his wound not being cleaned. He was the only one in ER waiting room. Wow!!!! Never go here, even if it's life threatening. Sad. Same ER woman doctor seen him another time he had to be seen and was more caring then and they were packed. This is wrong and Dr.'s and staff should be held accountable. If I had been with him, they wouldn't have got away with this poor care. Do not, I repeat do not come to this hospital.

My spouse was taken into ER for internal bleeding. Our experience was HORRENDOUS. Two of the night RN's refused to assist him to move. He was not bathed or bed changed in the 5 days he was there. They did not know he had been catheterized. They apparently had not even read his chart to know he was a DNR (do not resuscitate) patient. I know this because at their refusal to help him move, he went unconscious.they called a code blue and crash cart. I was in shock at what was happening. But by God's grace when the crash cart got there, it had no leads with it. By the time they found some he was coming back around. He was move immediately to Intensive Care and given 2 pints of blood. The next morning he was taken to surgery and the bleeding stopped. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THE SURGEON WAS A KIND GENTLE CARING MAN. I HOLD HIM AT NO FAULT FOR ANY OF THIS. When the bleed was stopped and he was stable I ask the surgeon when he could eat, and go home. I was told."Today if you wish." He gave me some advise on how to keep this from happening again. But the female doctor over ICU refused to let him leave. Said his white cell count was up. But if he would let her X-Ray his chest, she would wright him an RX and let him go.After he complied, she started making other excuses why she still would not discharge. We had to FORCE our way out of that Hellhole. A caregiver's creed is TO DO NO FURTHER HARM. I personally have worked in the medical field for 40 years. I have NEVER seen a patient so violated and traumatized as by poor husband was.

The ER was horrible long wait in the waiting room with pill head and pain pill junkies.
After seeing the doctor for stomach and intestinal pain was sent home with nausea med we was treated as if we was pill junkies looking for a fix .the doctor was in the room with us less than 2 min . Complete waste of money and time plus no closer to finding the problem that brought us there.

I'm 65yrs old. Went to ER after car ran over my leg. Was told up front hospital doesn't write for pain meds, not even for broken bones WTF?

I went to the ER on 2/13/2017 because I was having intense stomach pain. Though it took awhile to be seen (understandable, it was a bit crowded that day), everyone from the woman that checked me in, the nurse that took my weight/bp/asked about symptoms, the woman that drew my blood, to the doctor that saw and treated me were all exceptionally nice.

All my questions were answered, and the doctor was very thorough when it came to discussing my symptoms and what they could mean. When we figured out the issue, he explained very clearly what was going on, what was causing it, and how to treat it and prevent it from reoccurring in the future.

I very much appreciate that everyone that saw me that day went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and well-informed.

The ONLY good stay I had was when I had my baby. The ER is just awful. No one believes me. I've been there countless times since I have Medicaid and Frye Hospital isn't covered. They basically called me a liar for 4 hours. I waited 4 hours just to go back, to be called a liar for another 4 hours. Because obviously, they know exactly how I feel.
