It's another National Park with some "ruins" from people long gone, whom they know nothing about, yet they continue to make up highly detailed information about who they were, what they did and how they live. God bless scientists and their "educated guesses".

Though just a very small, out of the way site, Casa Grande is worth visiting. A 4-story Adobe structure abandoned about 600 years ago. National Park visitor center offers complete information and guided tours.

Being an archeology and history fan this is a must.
It's an amazing example of the ingenuity and ability of the people of the area. The large area of the complex and the extended time frame it was inhabited gives you a fantastic view into the lives of the generations that called it home.
The museum and informational video are very well done and skipping either of those would cut short your appreciation of the buildings and lives lived in this region.
It's definitely worth the 50 mile drive from Phoenix!response / report this review -

This is probably the smallest of all National Parks / Monuments. However it is very well preserved and maintained. As I placed my palm on the walls of the ancient ruins, for a moment I was transported to a world 700 years ago. It’s better to visit this place in the morning and before the Sun is higher in the Sky. Mornings are the best times for photo shoots.

Very impressive! Wild to see what people could build back then and still have it standing today. But what really got me was how they did canals back in the day. Absolutely amazing I definitely recommend going here !

Great museum and Jr. Ranger program for the kids. There's not a lot to see outside, but still an interesting; especially if you like desert landscapes. It's all very flat so walking around is very easy.

Very neat site with a thoroughly informative museum. Walk among the ruins and see them up close. Can be seen in under an hour, but could keep you busy longer if you're the type to read all the interpretative signs. If coming from Casa Grande, drive through the mountains for a beautiful view.
The monument closes at 4pm during the summer, even though hours posted at the museum say 5pm. (Front entrance does say 4pm.)response / report this review -

This place is awesome. It's a great look into the past. When you first walk in the whole place is filled with information, to help you better understand the area at the time of building the ruins. How they moved water to grow their crops. Even shows you the artistry of the time.
When you go outside you a close up look at the ruins, which are really neat.

I had read up about the park before going there, so I knew not to expect anything very large. It met my expectations, and it was an interesting but brief visit. The visitor's center is nice, there is a good video to watch there, and the tour guide was informative. I wished there was a bit more area to hike but I understand that this is a sensitive cultural resource and therefore the land is protected. Nice place to see if you are nearby but I wouldn't go too far out of my way to see it.

As far as monuments go this has been the smallest so far, but the house is grande! They have a shop to if you want to get some souvenirs. Definitely worth a stop if you are passing through or live around it.

The drive out is nice and the volunteers are some of the nicest people. The educational material is good, but the ruins are ruined.

Quick stop with my two boys, 12 and 15. They loved it! It's a lot bigger than we thought it would be. Nice museum, friendly staff. Didn't do the tour, just walked around and took photos. There was a large owl under the big canopy, that was cool to see. Nice and quick stop, use the restroom (clean), and get some cool photos.
