Room was laid out nice.. very clean and reasonably quiet. The one set-back (which prevented 5 stars) tiny TV's.. time for bigger screens guys.. they cost less than the 27"& 32" you bought back in 2005?

Dirty un-maintained room facing a hill in short range. Vents were filthy, top of fan not dusted, furniture dated (compared to ocean side rooms), side of refrigerator delaminating, staff taking very long breaks talking to each other and on the phone in "owners lounge" to the point I couldn't work on my PC, ceiling issues, and dirty floors. Cat urine smell also. I did ask to be moved but they said there were no rooms available, even though there were. Pics attached. I'm embarrassed for them. Their ocean view rooms are lovely. But they should close down the rooms facing the hill until they can remodel. I got sick in that hillside room and it could be a coincidence or maybe the dishes weren't quite washed. I'll never know on that one.

Small, quaint Timeshare complex. All year round heated pool, friendly staff with some newly remodeled rooms that included granite countertops, ceramic tile floors, and extremely large shower/bathtubs. Right across the street from the beach in a great location.and 2 short minutes drive to Dana Point Wharf with some great dining, and quaint shops. Disney was only 25-30 away up North.and Rose Parade was just over an hour.

Love Capistrano Surfside Inn! The staff is very friendly and it is a great location! We love walking the beach, riding bikes, beach bonfires, and spending time at Doheny Beach and Park.

Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Location is ideal. VIEW horrible. Unless you get an ocean view you will be looking at the face of a cliff about 20 feet away. They say mountain view. The only way to see sky is to stand at the edge of balcony and look up. If you were coming for a relaxing vacation, sitting on a balcony looking at the ocean, BEWARE. Staff holding ocean rooms for owners of Surfside who MAY show up. GPX are not considered owners

The staff were exemplary. Very attentive, responsive, and motivated. Wade was especially helpful. They have activities, they have beach chairs, boards, bikes for free. A nice lounge with a pool table, card table, we we're very comfortable. Capistrano Inn is an older Inn owned by timesharers. Needs upgrading but still everything was in fine condition. We had the 2 bd, 1 bath plus sofa bed. Balcony was refreshing and private. The pool was decent. All very nice.

Location is great, just across the street from Doheny Beach State Park. The staff are great. The amenities are just what you want. Beach gear (boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc), bikes to cruise along the coast, a game room, wifi, and a nice pool and hot tub.

This place is disgusting in more ways than one. We used Hotels Tonight to book a room here. Upon check-in they didn't have our reservation on file, but in the end they were able to find us a room. The room spelled like cat urine and the shower flooded the entire bathroom. A squeegee on a stick was their solution to this problem.

In the morning the hotel staff was apologetic and admitted that the bathroom floor wasn't graded correctly and that they've been trying to get the urine smell out of the room for a long time. They said they would try and get us a full refund.

The General Manager rejected the refund request twice. The rationale was that we didn't complain during our stay, that there were other rooms available, and that the room didn't smell or have flooding issues. We did complain, the staff admitted to these known issues, and upon check-in the night receptionist basically told us we were lucky to get the room he found for us.

This place needs to get its act together. Gross accommodations and horrible management. Avoid.

It may be small but it's personal charm is wonderful and comfortable The resort staff has to be probably the most friendliest and helpful I have experienced in my many travels If you ever get a chance to visit the resort ask for Cheryl, she wears a few hat's at Capistrano Surfside Resort , she definitely made our stay one of the most enjoyable memorable stays ever. Highly recommend The Capistrano Surfside Inn

I'm an owner at this timeshare resort (3 weeks) and have been for more than five years. I'm biased but I love it here, especially the oceanfront suites, where I can hear the surf pounding in at night. The resort is in the process of renovation and the newly finished units have brighter, bigger kitchens. I love the automatic overhead fan in the bedroom. I'm short and arthritic, though, so I find it nearly impossible to get into and out of the new high sided tubs. The staff are always welcoming and gracious; there's a lounge and games room, and laundry machines. Next door is a wonderful Mexican restaurant and Dana Point Harbor is very close.
