My boyfriend and i came here for our vacation/anniversary and pictures do not do it justice! It's a beautiful building, beautiful room, comfortable bed, good closet space, mini fridge and beautiful view! We chose the beach view and my god was it worth every penny. The staff is VERY helpful and friendly and even met my small request to help make our anniversary a bit more special. The free continental breakfast was fresh like they claimed. It all tasted delicious including the coffee and creamer. Nothing generic about this place. Plus it's in walking distance in everything! We loved it and as we sit here 2 hours from check out we are already planning our next trip back. Thank you spindrift! We needed this!

We stayed there 11/2017 for 2 nights. It is close to everything, nice, clean, and the staff were awesome. We want to go back in winter so we can use the fireplace in the room (not cold enough). Would highly recommend this hotel.

$3000 worth of jewellery was stolen from my room here in August 2017. The Hotel was less than helpful. One of the rings was a priceless family heirloom, my grandmother's ring. I will never get this back because of the negligence of the hotel staff who just fobbed me off to the insurance company who didn't want to help me either. The manager constantly ignored our emails. I will never stay here again.
WARNING: Don't leave your jewellery out in this hotel if you want to keep it

This very special boutique hotel on the ocean has the corner on romance in Monterey. They also have an awesome corner room overlooking Cannery Row (if you like city views). Great location for an Anniversary, romantic getaway, or cool place to stop on coastal trail from L.A. to San Fran. Rooms are beautifully appointed and exceptionally comfortable. Nature abounds (see pic). The complimentary breakfast is delivered to your room and the staff is super accommodating. Kudos to Duchess (Mgr.) for managing to make our stay extra special. Highly recommend.

Great location - Bay views for many rooms directly over a beach. Great service - very attentive staff whether bell-hops, reception, or guest services. Convenient location - right on the "Cannery Row" strip and only a few blocks from the Aquarium. Enjoyable fireplaces - gas-assist fireplace with a supply of wood makes fire-building easy. Romantic appointments - the canopy bed and classic styles provide a romantic destination.

Spindrift inn is a beautiful gem of a place to stay overnight. It's right on the water and canary row. They have balconies facing the ocean as well as the tourist covered street and the beds are comfortable. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. This is mine and my wife's go to place in Monterey. The only thing is the last time I was there it looked like the building could have used a Wash and a fresh coat of paint on the exterior.

Excellent room. Rooftop access with great views. Just down the street from the Aquarium. Staff are great, glass of wine at check in. Will be back.

Comfortable nautical pub atmosphere. Decent grub but nothing to write home about. Cheaper than some other places on Cannery Row but you're still going to pay a bit of a premium for eating in tourist central. Prompt and friendly service.

It's not very often the pictures don't do a girl justice. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how nice our room was. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

The room is comfortable, great views, close to beach, lots shopping and restaurants. Close to a movie theater, day spa and even an aquarium. A bit costly, confusing fireplace and the room decor could use some updates. Rooftop seating with a great view and even a couple of places for tanning. Absolutely no smoking ANYWHERE NEAR the hotel. Pretty costly in room mini bar and in room bath salts. Bring your own pillows unless you don't mind mostly flat pillows. But I didn't pay for the room so I guess I can't complain all to much.
