Not much of a suite as the name suggests. Just bigger rooms with a kitchenette. They do not give a breakfast. Little cramped up hotel, not too happy!

Very nice extended stay hotel. We got everything we expected from a Candlewood. No oven unfortunately, but they always have appliance rentals and also allow you to check out books and movies which is really nice. Friendly staff, small fitness area with treadmill, elliptical, and bike, and the standard cupboard area for buying convenience items. One thing I thought was really thoughtful was having the laundry room and cupboard together and they also had a pet walking area for anybody bringing a dog with them. Nice place to stay at a decent price.

I loved the room itself, and I loved the fact that the room had a full kitchen. However, I don't believe that the hotel uses hypoallergenic detergents / products for their bedding and / or towels. We both woke up congested, and my face and skin were irritated in the morning. The night before, I used the bath towel to clean carefully around my eyes--no makeup was worn, nor any products used to clean my face--and they were extremely red in the morning and took hours to clear up.

Clean fresh rooms, quiet and comfortable. New manager is going to update front doors in summer. Entire staff is awesome!

Clean well appointed rooms at a fair price is why I stay at CandleWood Suites. The Rockford location lives up to my expectations of the chain and then some. Very pleasant, friendly, hopeful staff. Only downside is parking is limited and the lot needs maintenance.

First opinions are less than stellar. The entry is a set of two narrow doors set at right angles to each other and difficult to negotiate not to mention very hard to open.
This is definitely a no frills property. No breakfast and a bed jammed up against the wall - about 12 inches of room; and very hard. No electrical outlet or light on the wall side of the bed.
I'll not stay at this property at anytime in the future. For the money there are much better locations!response / report this review
