The Christmas Buffet was adequate, but nothing special. I mean, I could cook better food at home and will do so in the future. Nothing will compare to the first year I went: three types of fish, caviar, great quality. Now, it is just an average buffet. Better than Golden Corral (gross), but not by much. I'll be cooking for myself next year.

Great place for a family vacation if you are looking for time alone with adults during the day and family time at night. Check out their Summer family adventure camp, Reasonably priced and the accommodations fit a family of 6 nicely with everything you need. Staff was friendly. Negatives include that the night time activities were limited and no back up rainy day activities planned which kind of ruined a few days of the vacation. The need more family oriented activities for the evenings and late afternoons. My kids absolutely loved the day cam for the kids which included tubing, skiing, learning the trapeze and other circus adventures. They also played tennis, golf, put on a play, and several other things. The adult activities were limited however.

Callaway Gardens is a beautiful place. The staff are very friendly. We went to see the fantasy in lights. It was $30 a person and unfortunately was not worth it for a group of six people. The Christmas lights were spaced too far apart and we're not overly beautiful. If the price was set to $10 a person it would be worth it. The vendors we're excellent however. My two year old enjoyed the lights but the five year old was skeptical.

Top notch for nature lovers 5 to 105. Paved trails between items of interest. Birds of Prey exhibit is an excellent display of raptors up close and in flight. With Christmas upon us, check out the drive through light display. Also available, the open air tram that takes you through the light exhibit. Bring warm blankets as they are very nice to keep your legs warm. Sorta like a hay ride without the mess. Expensive though $24 per person. But there is plenty to do in main building. Many vendors selling peanut bottle to hand sewn crafts. Don't forget to taste the hot coco!

I love the Lodge here. The rooms have been updated and the beds are comfortable. They have great LG TV ' S with decent channels and balconies on each room. It's very quiet and nice for a quick getaway. CON: Room service is way too expensive. There are only a couple of restaurants near here but I only saw an Subway. Don't stay in the cabins cause they need updating.

We booked a last minute 4th of July trip to Callaway Gardens and found availability at Mountain Creek Inn. The rooms were clean and front desk staff was accommodating, after I requested a different room with a better view. Kelly at the Vineyard Green Restaurant did a fantastic job with her outstanding service.

This place is terrible. I vacationed here as a little girl and was excited to visit with my husband for our anniversary. We paid almost $200 for a single night's stay, and were expecting it to look like the photos advertised when we booked it. NOT the case: the room we arrived to was covered in dust, musty-smelling, had a broken bed and the appearance of a sad highway motel room with the exception of nicer bedding. We immediately requested to be moved to a new room, and though the receptionist was accommodating, the new room was not much better. The walls are paper-thin and we could hear EVERYTHING the guests next door said or did. Whenever we flushed the toilet, it sounded like a waterfall gushing for about 2 solid minutes. The icemaker was broken and the wifi did not work. We were EXTREMELY disappointed and regretted staying here.

Though they are rebuilding, the inn is an easy place to stay and highly accessible to the gardens. Friendly staff and good maintenance practices help.

If you're looking for a comfortable place to experience the great outdoors then the Mountain Creek Inn is the place to go. More like a nice hotel than a cabin, but you are surrounded by hiking trails and have access to the beautiful Callaway Gardens.
