We are from out of town and drove by Cafe Dupont while exploring downtown Birmingham. The restaurant looked so inviting. Cafe Dupont is outstanding. First the service is so so professional. True genteel service. Pleasant, informative and attentive. The food was also excellent. We had the fried oyster and fried tomato appetizers. Their specialty for a reason. The fried chicken was the best I have ever had.
    Highly recommend.

Went on a Tuesday evening, and the place quickly filled up after we were seated. The service was excellent and friendly, the drinks were good, but the food here is what really shines. It was perfect.

While the restaurant can be considered expensive, the charcuterie plate is actually extremely reasonable for the amount and quality. You absolutely need to try it. It is not what you typically think of or would receive at most places when ordering that.

The scallops entree is something they are known for, and it did not disappoint. The scallops were quite large, and were perfectly crisp on the outside while being smooth and buttery on the inside.

Great service and staff, solid meal. The vegetable plate was well constructed and generally great flavor. Some of the best tomatoes I have had. The gingerbread ice cream was an amazing dessert. Would have liked to see a bit better wine menu.

Very helpful staff, helping me book a bridal luncheon. The space is very beautifully restored, dark wood and tasteful period wall paper. The bar is outstanding. Had drinks there and they were superb.

We arrived early to avoid any rush. Valet parking. A pleasant welcome especially as we had a three year old with us, direction to our table and introduction to the menu. An obvious understanding of the menu and descriptive answers to our questions regarding the menu. Prompt service. Attention to detail. Would thoroughly recommend. Looking forward to eating in the main restaurant on my next visit.

Our son chose Cafe DuPont for his mother's birthday dinner. It was our second visit there. The service, attention, and food was excellent. I look forward to our next visit there. Richard Buckner

This restaurant is amazing!!!! My SO and I went here for our anniversary, and our server was Trina. She did a wonderful job of explaining the menu choices. This was our first visit to a high end restaurant. So, it was completely new and I had never had anything on the menu (Veal, quail, duck, etc). Dinner was great! Dessert hit the spot, and the drinks were perfect.

We were given some gift cards for Christmas and drove 1 hr. to Birmingham to try this. Read all about it and how a churrascaria restaurant works and was excited to try it. We were not disappointed. It took a little while to get acclimated about how the system works but once the skewers start coming they never stop

While pricey, you get what you pay for. I prefer the bar area, comfortable, friendly and casual. Great martinis and mixed drinks. Some of the freshest, best prepared and locally procured southern seasonal food on the planet. Service is impeccable. A great experience. Anything you select from the ever changing menu based on seasonality will be beyond expectation.

This has been my best experience with Birmingham dining so far. The waiter (Ryan) was knowledgable and helpful. I'm not sure I've ever had a waiter recommend ordering LESS food. But he was right on the money. He told us about off-menu items (you MUST try the Fried Chicken) and every dish was amazing.
