Me and my husband have stayed here for several days the owners are very nice rooms are clean,and it's very quiet,police drive through every couple hours in the evening makes you feel berry comfortable,and safe no druggies running around very close to everything in the heart of Mount Dora..room 132.king bed very good size,they have slow internet but they are working on that just used our hot spots

What the amenities lack, the management makes up for. Allen is pleasant, extremely helpful and accomadating. Was a comfortable stay, some updating would be helpful. Thanks Allen!!!

The staff was wonderful. We'd been without power for a week when we checked in and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Even coming to bring extra towels. The room was clean and tidy. Thank you so much!!

I just spent the week at the Budget Lodge due to hurricane Irma.
And in difficult times with no power,
The management and staff were very accommodating and bent over backwards to help everyone there.
Management and staff went out of their way to fix lunch and dinner for all the guests at the lodge.
I'll be glad to recommend your facility at any time.
And please as the old saying goes!
Don't judge a book by its cover.

Peace and Quiet! I've traveled alot this simmer and have stayed in many hotels such such as Hilton and Rosen Inn and at every hotel have had one bad experience to the next. My husband and I decided to try somewhere less expensive and ended up here at the Budget Lodge of Mt.Dora.The staff here are very helpful and friendly. The rooms and property are clean. It's inexpensive and Extremely Quiet, what more could you ask for! Thank You to everyone working at budget!!!

I spent 180 with them in three days. Not to mention the money I have gave them before. I went to get a room again and she asked me if I stayed there recently. I said yes and she asked me if I smoked in the room, I said yes I did. The Indian lady (whom didn't check me in that day, or the maid lol) said that it was a non smoking room. I tried to explain to her that I was unaware of it and I was sorry. The woman who checked me in that day never told me. She rudely told me that this was not a misunderstanding, but a business. She called the maid to come to the office and said she would never lie to her. She didn't originally rent me the damn room! The Indian lady is a very rude and evil person. Had I known it was non smoking, I never would have. I remember staying there before and she had gave me a good rate. As soon as she saw my mother in law was paying by credit card, she jacked the rate up!! The place is terrible and would not recommend staying here. Very disrespectful!

Roooms are dirty, owner is rude. Our 1 1/2 year old daughter got sick during our stay and ended up throwing up on the sheets. The cleaning lady gladly gave us clean sheets then the owner called our room yelling about us getting clean sheets and she told my boyfriend that if it happened again we just had to deal with it and sleep in the puke.will demanding a refund when we check out tomorrow.

The worst motel I've ever been to. If I could vote 0 stars I would. The rooms are great except the mold in the bathroom. the people that run it are horrible. The owners watch you like a hawk you can even step out side without getting yelled at. You can't have visitors visit even if it's outside. Don't bring any teenagers or kids because they assume they are up to no good and you will get a call to your room even if it's not your kid. The neighbors were playing really loud music and didn't get yelled at. But we left the door open one time and get screamed at. She assumed since everyone kept going in and out that we were dealing drugs and we don't even do drugs. 2 people are taxi drivers and when we don't have customers we come back to hang out and take a nap. From my personal experience, I would never stay here again.

Just wow. Came here to get a room that I called for and was available. Showed up at 2 in the morning to pay for my room and the woman is no where to be found. Rang doorbell and no answer. We had to find a different hotel with my 3 year old this late after being told she had rooms. Never again. Rude and dirty hotel to begin with I should have known better. Get it together lady.

If i could leave negative stars i would. Terribly rude lady at the front desk. Left a McDonald's bag on the desk in the room and was told I couldn't come back even though I had a reservation for a week. When I asked why the owner started screaming at me over the phone and threatened to call the police. Aside from that, the tile floor was somewhat sticky when I arrived and the shower head was at about neck level. I'm only 5 7. Nobody should ever stay here. If this place is still in business in a year I will be shocked.

Simply rundown and dirty. Less than 1 star! The cheapest and most vacant hotel around for a reason.
I'd rather sleep in my truck and not sleep after welding all day.
The sheets looked clean but the bed underneath them were atrocious.
The bathroom was like a old gas station bathroom. Looked like they wiped everything down but had stains from the last 20 years.
After 10 minutesit was just too dirty so went and talked to the manager. She told us to leave and go somewhere else. Good news is they refunded our money.
Bottom line, just keep driving.
