A great zoo, lots of unique and interesting animals. The Tree Trek was a serious challenge for this 63yo, but still fun. Be certain to get paper receipt and tickets as the employee who sold ours did not provide the paper and we were unable to get credit for a discount that was incorrectly kept from us.

A little pricey on the food. The kids enjoy going to explore. Super friendly staff, and loving the new improvements on the place. During the summer, there is great water fun for the kids, and the playground is always super exciting for them to run around & enjoy. The animal feedings and petting part is always a good treat too. Highly recommend to go on a nice Saturday morning.

We took my grandson for his 1st birthday and we all had a blast. We did the petting zoo and saw reptiles, monkeys, alligators, big cats, tons of birds; yet the most impressive were the giraffes. There we were at the same height as their heads and we got to feed them! What a treat. I've been to many zoos up and down the west coast and a few wildlife parks, yet this was the most fun and the closest we could get to the animals. I look forward to going back one day.

The kids always have a great time here and enjoy seeing all the animals, their favorite being the giraffes, which you can feed, if you come at the right time. There is a splash pool/wading pool that's a lot of fun for toddler age children, my kids used to love it. The zoo is clean, and has been well maintained throughout the years, and they've added new exhibits and revamped other areas, which makes it more appealing to the local crowd, but for anyone visiting it'll be an enjoyable activity for an afternoon. The ropes course is fun for kids or adults, just check the height requirements for your kids, and I recommend stopping there to check if there's a wait, prior to entering the zoo, and planning to do that either at the beginning or end of your visit, as it's just easier on time. The family memberships are a good value if you plan on visiting additional times throughout the year, and they're reasonably priced, and also a better value than paying individual ticket prices. Just wear comfy clothes and put on your sunscreen, because pretty much the entire zoo and exhibits are all in direct sunlight, and it can be a bit too hot during certain times of the year to really enjoy it, so plan according to the weather.

What a terrific little zoo! Is it the San Diego/Ft. Worth/Bronx/National Zoo? No, but it doesn't try to be. It's beautifully maintained, with the animals close at hand in natural settings. The kids love feeding the giraffes and seeing the Rhinos up close. Feeding the birds is another inexpensive treat. It's large enough to spend most of a day, without exhausting yourself. Lots of shade and cover, plus a splash/fountain area to cool off the little ones. It can be a little pricey but look out for the local deals.

I am thoroughly amazed by this zoo. Walking through what felt like a jungle was amazing! We were worried about too much sun exposure for my little one this zoo is plenty covered! The animals were spectacular as well as the train ride to see even more animals! I loved how a lot of the exhibits were overlooking the animals and their friendly habitats. It felt like you were in there too; instead of looking through a cage! Walking with the kangaroos, and feeding the birds!? What? AMAZING. By far the BEST zoo I've ever been!

Wonderful layout. The animals seem happy and the zoo actively seeks the well-being of the animals by changing the environment to keep them stimulated and challenged. The grounds are beautiful. Peaceful and enjoyable visit. Looking forward to going back.

Fun time for $5, special Tuesday rate through October 2017. Guides are around everywhere in case you have a question. Very nice people. The animals were fun to watch and taking pictures was easy due to the way it's set up. Very much enjoyed ourselves!

A great zoo we have been here many times but the price has gotten very high we will be stopping less from now on. Many improvements over the last few years that are very nice. If your a Floridian you can visit for 5 dollars on Tuesdays but we are from out of state and no deals for us. Still a fun spot to take the kids and super friendly staff more than willing to answer questions.

This zoo feels like you are actually in the environment with the animals. It is a well designed experience for the whole family. This zoo offers a full day of activity in addition to just looking at animals. Try the following:
1) Zip Line over the alligators
2) Kayak around the entire zoo
3) Take the young kids to the small water park
4) Ride the train into the open Africa exhibit
5) Feed the giraffes
6) Spring for the Rhino Experience and pet a rhino.
It was the best time I have ever had at any zoo in the country. The staff is so knowledgeable and willing to share your knowledge. 5 STARS!response / report this review -

This zoo is amazing! You are so close to the animals! The park and animal habitats are beautiful! You can zip line over the park or kayak through the park. (We did the kayak tour) My son fed the giraffes! We had a blast! I ❤ this place!

I've gone to Brevard Zoo since I was five. I just went today with my grandmother and we both had a wonderful time looking at all the animals and talking to staff. Now that I'm moving to Buffalo for college, I have started to really appreciate how amazing this zoo is. It isn't too big, so you can go for just a few hours and not get exhausted- but has enough funding and animals to give a high quality experience to visitors. There's no brick or mortar to be found like in many older zoos (excluding the named bricks in the entrance, which are adorable), instead going for an entirely wooden/rope aesthetic that feels right at home with the Floridian flora that dominates the landscape.
The animals are kept large enclosures where you can't always see them- which actually makes me happy because the animals can get away from the crowds if they want. They're all taken care of by people who love their job, and it shows.
It may be a small zoo, but it's got more heart than I've seen in the biggest ones.response / report this review -

This Zoo is awesome. It's great for kids of all ages and adults. You really get to see all kind of animals and is much better than bush gardens and animal kingdom when it comes to actually seeing the animals.

This has to be my favorite Zoo of all time. I live in Colorado and hate how the animals seem so sad from being caged I noticed the animals were very active and love where they were at least it seemed that way :) The entrance fee was inexpensive and was like you were on a Safari. Definitely pay to feed the giraffes

What a great zoo. It's laid out very nicely, and is very shady. They have a nice selection of animals, and offer close encounters with the rhinos and giraffe feeding. It's not too big and not too small and perfect for families with small children.
