Very clean. Up-to-date furniture and appliances. Kitchen is fully loaded with utensils cups glasses wine glasses, pots and pans dishwashing soap and sponge. Bathrooms and showers very up-to-date.

The renovated rooms are beautiful! We were offered two room upgrades at no additional charge but when we went to pay for the rooms he changed his mind and said that he would only upgrade one room. So we had one awful, old and smelly room And one super clean and newly remodeled room. As long as you are in one of the new rooms you will enjoy this. Otherwise I would stay in the old rooms here. The pools cleanliness was questionable.

They use to be 4 stars when family owned, we have been going with family and friends every summer. We knew the employees and saw then every year for more than 12 years. We made friends every year with other families trading emails and numbers to hopefully connect again another year. Now that corporate greed has won the pier has been disney-fied no more mom and pop business' and Wakulla has prettier fancier rooms but you will pay 3X the price. Our visit this summer will probably be our last because the fun atmosphere is gone and replaced with rules rules, the beautiful tropical plants trimmed and now caters to guests who think they are at the Ritz Carlton!

As a Westgate owner we were a little concerned when we pulled into the parking lot. The resort is currently under construction and restoration.
I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our suite. Exactly what we have become accustomed to with Westgate.
There are lots of plans in the future for this resort.
I can’t wait to come back when it’s completely redone.response / report this review -

Except for beautiful beach with private access, absolutely not worth it. I paid more than 200$ per night for a place in absolute state of disrepair and decay. Suite is very shabby and not particularly clean. Funny smell in the bathroom. Very loud A/C that didn't let me sleep well. Luminiscent bulb in bathroom that died at night (they could see it coming for ages). Broken furniture. No breakfast. Everything extra cost extra money including lounge on the beach. 10 air broadcast channels on TV instead of advertised cable. On the good side, suite was very spacious and had kitchen. All in all, it was worst value for money I saw for quite a while. Paid as for 4 star hotel for a cheap motel. Be wiser than me, stay out.

Very clean rooms, well organized furniture, comfortable too. The staff is very cooperative, and friendly. The pool is centered and clean. Large too. The water pressure in the shower is insane, loved it. Close too the beaches and of course the pier. The rooms are being remodeled and from what I see through the windows, they'll be luxurious! Overall my experience here is super positive and highly recommend.

We were lucky to have gotten one of the newly renovated rooms. Unfortunately, the interior was the highlight of our stay. The lights in front of the rooms were completely out, and more importantly this place is littered with trash. The room next door had smoke blowing directly in front of our room and trash was scattered ALL the way around the building from the construction. The lights were out during the night time around the pool as well, so swimming after dark was uncomfortable. We requested our sheets changed after our beds had only been made because of food spills and sand from children, and only 1 bed was given new sheets. There was also a roach that crawled on the bed, but an exterminator came to spray with no questions asked. This hotel may have been worth the price tag at one point, but due to the current renovations and state of the hotel, the price is too high. At it's current stage and management, the price should be the cost of a cheap motel. We cut our visit short and opted to get a hotel we trust around the country; the Hyatt Place.

We stayed in an updated room. Very nice room. Love the decor and the furniture. This room is much nicer than the room we own over at westgate vacation villas in Orlando. Comfy bed. Comfy pillows. The only cons are no ocean view and a little bit of a walk to get to the beach and no laundry facility in the room. Will definitely stay here again.

Very family friendly!! Came here growing up. Love to see all their updates. My kids loved it didn't want to leave. Love love the landscaping. Only thing I'd change is the comfort of the bed. Love the size of them just woke with sore back . Can't wait to try it out after all renovations ( hope they get comfortable beds though)

This place used to be amazing! You got a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment with kitchen and living room for the price of a single room eslewhere. Now, this place will run you at least $350 a night.
They appear to be renovating the rooms since the style was from the late 70s early 80s. I don't know if it will still be 2 bedroom suites. But if the pricea are that high now, I'm assuming they will only increase after renovations.
Such a shame. We loved coming here to stay for a week or two a few times each summer.response / report this review -

The folks at the resort could not be nicer! Very helpful, friendly and quick to make request. The problem that we faced with this property was roaches. We were greeted with those creatures as soon as we turned on the lights the first evening. I know that this property is being remodeled and like most houses the roaches move from room to room as they remodel. We picked up roach motels and that seemed to help, did not see others as the week went on. Also, the team of workers doing the remodeling were staying at the property so after their shift we had them gawking at the ladies in the pool hanging over the balcony. I would try this place again but not till after the work is finished.

The reservation and check in process were straight forward and easy. Once we arrived, the room's air conditioner was off so it was 87 degrees in our room and too several hours to cool down. We did request a fan since was still so hot which they brought within ten minutes. The room was clean and plain, but dated. Our room had an oceanview and it 30 walk to beach. Private parking the hotel and beach. We noted some very small, nearly clear insects at the sink in our kitchenette. It is still my first day here, so I cannot comment on the resolution yet.
