A great place to visit whether you're a native or an out-of-towner.
It's a staple of Kansas City now, and if you're a beer fan I definitely recommend stopping by.
They offer two choices of tours - a free one that is first come, first serve; and a $25 smokestack tour. The forget being a brief overview of the brewery and there latter bring a much more in depth your that offers some beer along the way and a beer/food pairing at the end.
I definitely recommend there latter if you have the opportunity, it's definitely worth the price of admission.
Sweet place!
Love Child #8 is particularly memorablethe most sour beer I’ve ever had by far, and somehow also absolutely delicious.
Solid brew for any season. The story behind the craft brewery of boulevard is one to learn. From the creepy woodshop guy to the possessed fermentation tank. Granted they only brew in a year what the big dogs brew in a day But the difference is huge. Take a tour and try some of the ones you've never had, or relish in learning new things about your favorites.
What a great experience! If you are from KC originally or passing through, this is the place to be!
I HIGHLY recommend their Smokestack Series tour. It's a more in depth tour that lasts roughly two hours! Its deemed the boulevard experience including a guided tour throughout the majority of the brewery for $25/ticket. Totally worth it! Because when you are done with the tour you go to their amazing beer hall for food and beer pairings (included with each ticket)!
Their free tours are great as well, which include tokens for drinks afterwards. They will begin charging $5 for tours beginning in January 2018.
This Brewery is expanding every time I go!
Free tours, with beer samples! The free tour isn't super informative unless you know nothing about beer.
I've been to two releases of their Brewhouse One series now, and they have been amazing! The One Love release had a DJ, Jerk Chicken, Meatballs, and a free four pack with ticket price. The staff were very helpful and friendly!
The Beer Hall is a really nice setup. Two floors, the bottom being a large gift shop, and the top floor is the beer hall.
I wish they would release Requiem for a Pancake as a regular release, but, at least I got to buy some.
TAKE THE TOUR! Well worth the visit. Very happy staff that can answer any and every question about brewing. Select year round and seasonal craft beers available for the tasting. Space also available for private events!
Best tour ever! Jason was our guide. Thanks Boulevard Brewing for the fantastic tour and generous samples. We are fans. We went to the store after and bought two 24 packs. Fans for life!
Great beer! Small plates/appetizers available. Loved the free tour, but need to reserve spot early. All the tours for the day were full by 2pm Saturday. Free beer samples on the tour. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony afterwards with a view of downtown.
The fiance and I did the Tank 7 tour, as I'm a big Tank 7 fan and heard it came with a complimentary glass as well as a tasting after the tour. The tour was great, and our guide was hilarious. Very knowledgeable and personable, he clearly loved what he did. The tasting after the tour was fantastic, with local pairings to go with the artisan beers. The tasting guides taught everyone how to appreciate the subtleties in the beers and how they mixed with the pairings.
Boulevard Brewing is one of the BEST places to take friends and family visiting KC, or just to spend your afternoon at. The free tour is phenomenal, and they even give you free beer at the end. The atmosphere is very chill, and the staff at Boulevard is helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Tips for making your trip successful: order one of their pre-made flights, it gives you the best of what they have to offer. If you're planning on a tour, get there early, they tend to fill up fast! Don't forget to stop by the beer hall patio, one of the best views of the city!
Such a great experience visiting here. Been on multiple tours and loved every one of them. The staff are extremely pleasant and I've even ran into the owner during the tour and he chatted with me. The tour itself is awesome and you get beer at the end. Definitely visit if you get a chance.
Just do it. Fun free tour. Educated employees who know their company. Wide selection of craft beers. Landfill free facility--super green! 💚
The tour is well worth a visit to KC. The tasting room is really fun to hang out with friends on a nice day. If you open a tab then you get a free token for the photo booth. There is a wide selection of beers available to fit every taste.
First of all, the tours are fantastic. You learn about the history of Boulevard, the founder's story and about beer knowledge in general. Plenty of samples along the way and the tour ends right in their main bier hall. Sample unreleased 'experiments' in a flight or have an old favorite in a pint. Also a great place to grab a snack and a beer after work. The meat and cheese plate is excellent. Staff is fantastic and friendly, always ensuring a quality experience.
Best thing to do in KC! After taking the free tour, my group enjoyed food and drinks in the (relatively) new beer hall. It was a beautifully designed space with lots of tables large tables for you to enjoy delicious beers at. The space is very open, yet cozy. While you're there, don't forget to check out the photo booth in the min-camper!
