Most convenient gas station downtown.

This place is always busy at night. Sometimes its hard to find a parking spot on the weekend nights. There is always a cop hanging around during the weekends for everyone's safety. Its nice knowing you can walk in and not worry about getting robbed. Its not in the best area but they have a good liquor selection. Alcohol is the only reason why I stop by there since sometimes when I decide to drink its past 10 and I gotta drive across the river.

It looks like a scetchy gas station on the outside but on the inside it's actually pretty nice. They have a good selection of food, drinks, and other things you might need. Getting in and out of the parking lot though is not always easy. And the gas prices are usually pretty average if not a little bit higher.

I go here frequently because I live 2 blocks away. The selection of items is great, and I always receive excellent customer service. None of that really matters though; here's what does around 5:30pm, I stopped to get a drink and snacks. My rear passenger tire was completely flat (still had a screw stuck in it). I asked if they had an air compressor. The gentleman behind the counter told me where it was and that it cost $1.25. I had zero cash on me. I looked up and said, "I bet I can't use my card on it though, huh?" Without hesitation, he handed me 5 quarters. What that man didn't know was that I was on my way to see my daughter. Today is Wednesday. Mother's Day is this Sunday. Without his act of kindness, my daughter and I both would've been completely devastated because we wouldn't have gotten to see each other at all until next Wednesday. Thank you, sir. It's people like you who help me keep my faith in humanity. A business that employs people like you will ALWAYS be on top of my favorites list!

I've been doing business with you for years since the early 90s and buy cigars quite frequently from you. I don't drink much but when I do, I get my buddies who buy liquor and I'll grab myself a few beers. Well today I am very upset that I spent good money with you and you're way downtown kcmo and we get home in shawnee ks and 3 out of 6 of the bud platinum 6-pak bottles had already been drunk out of, and then to top it all off, the cigars were dry and stale! By the way, never got a receipt either needless to say I don't think me pals will do business with you in the future. There are great places everywhere now, just a shame we have to give up our kc proud tradition of buying from you guys 😕ðŸ˜

Outrageous prices and horrible customer service.
I just moved to Columbus Park and figured I'd check this place out since it's a little closer than the grocery store. I'll be gladly traveling the few extra blocks to avoid this place.response / report this review
