Definitely the old bait and switch.I had set up an appointment with a particular sales person on a Sat afternoon and after arriving, was immediately given to someone else. The receptionist is not friendly at all. They do not do their best to help you find a vehicle within your budget and do not listen to your needs at all. They do not negotiate price well, so you may as well go to Car Max. Their internet price is a bait and switch. You will still pay original price after they add in taxes, origination fees, etc.

Overall the saving grace for this establishment, was the salesperson Carol. She was very nice, & took her time in helping me. Before coming in I had called & set up an appointment to be helped by a specific person. There are different bob kings (mazda, suzuki, kia, etc) all right beside one another, & not easy to distinguish which one is which. I pulled up & a gentleman came out, & I asked if I was in the right location, & who I was looking for. He goes inside & comes out with another guy. He tells me I need to go up the heel. As I'm proceeding to roll up my window & they both ask me a million questions, I assume possibly trying to snatch up a sale from where I was supposed to be going. I hadn't even stepped out of my vehicle, or turned it off when I'm asked all of this. Over aggressive!! Fast forward, I went through the financing application while I was there. Carol have me a print out that had my "credit score" of 609 on it. I fully understand that each agency may report different info. I check my score through my bank sometimes. I told Carol I would weigh out my options & let her know, since the used car I wanted didnt come with a warranty. A few weeks later I get the standard letter in the mail regarding my credit report & what not. This information from bob king had a credit score of 557. I called & spoke with jose, inquiring about which score was used in determining my credit worthiness. I was told they only keep that info for 30 days.this is day 33. That's fine. To me the 2 pieces of paper I received, should have had the same info. I still have salesperson from this company calling & texting if I'm ready to make a purchase. I most likely won't be getting anything from here. Overall I was left with a bad taste in my mouth for bob king mazda, kia, or whatever it is

Friendly and knowledgeable ataff. I stopped for a cabin filter and one of the mechanics heard of the strife I had with the dealership I had originally purchased my car from, which amongst a couple of issues, had not tapped my license plate screw holes as they had been stripped by precious operators of the car (previously a loaner).

He came out and took care of it and gave me a pair of boots for the right size, no charge. It's not the free bit that gets me, it's that this gentleman cared about the customer and it was obvious in the most subtle of mannerisms. A rarity in the service industry.

This is my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe I purchased brand new from Bob King. After year 4, my paint started peeling. It was out of warranty and the dealerships solution was to charge me $2,400 which was half of a repaint price. This is the crappiest paint job on any vehicle I've ever owned and never even received a response from Hyundai on a faulty product. The dealerships bodyshop manager stated this was a manufacturing problem and not the dealerships. Where does one turn for help?

I wish that I could give the service department less than 1 star.

    Hyundai's service pledge states:
*Greet you with a courteous smile within 60 seconds of your arrival - well this didn't happen on my visit. I waited for 10 minutes and was never acknowledged by anyone, so I approached one of the service advisers and was told that he would be with me in a minute.

*Provide you with an accurate time and cost estimate - again I was not given a time, the only thing that was said to me was, "oh no ma'am this won't take long at all" I can however tell you that my appointment was for an oil change, and was informed they needed to perform a "quick" test for a recall.
After I inquired how much longer it would be as I had been there an hour already, I was informed they were finishing up with my car then. I was there for a total of two hours for an oil change.

If your car needs service my advice to you is to find another dealership or clear your schedule for the day so that you don't miss any other appointments.

Everyone was very nice. Guadalupe Hewitt is an excellent sales professional. She handled everything and made buying a new car 🚗 easy.

I was here to pickup a check for selling my wife's old Hyundai the engine had issues repair estimate at 3k so we sold it to the dealer and decided to just but a new one.
In my experience they are slow, the customer service was not helpful it took multiple days and phone calls to get it taken care of and when I showed up it still took an hour of sitting waiting for people to get me a check.

They just seem disorganized, nothing about the process was smooth the people in back didn't know what was going in front who had to also walk up the hill to the main office and they didn't seem too connected with anything.

I think that was all magnified by how great a level of customer service the dealership I brought the new vehicle from was in Statesville.

I wouldn't buy anything here unless it was free and even then still would take 5 day's and 30 calls

Sam was fantastic to work with. He was great at listening to my requirements, knowledgeable, and made the car search process very comfortable for me. I highly recommend working with him!

Great experience all around! This is our second car from bob king. Our salesman Eric was awesome, he joked with us, explained the car to us and treated us like we were a longtime friend. We looked at two cars one brand new the other certified pre owned. We ended up driving away in the 2015 elantra!
If you want a no hassle, no pressure, down to earth experience then you need to visit bob king.

I am very displeased with the service I received from Bob King Hyundai. When stopping by on a Saturday afternoon around 4:30 I was greeted by a salesman by the name of Sam. When meeting him, we discussed with him that we did not want to look at a vehicle at the moment but instead go over the options of what they would give me for my trade and also to see what cars they had on their lot that would work for my budget. After Sam inspected my car, he comes back in and does a Kelly Blue Book appraisal and the amount they were going to give me for my car was way under the market value. We told Sam that we were not proceeding with the deal with such a low price and he said, "I will be right back, let me talk with my manager." After about 10 minutes or so, he came back and said, "If we offer you $5,000 more for your trade will you proceed with the deal. We said of course! Then Sam proceeds to show us vehicles that he advised was in our price range and he asked us to schedule an appointment for Monday evening to come back and close up all the loose ends because it was close to 6pm at this point. We scheduled the appointment and got Sam's phone number. On Monday around lunch time I called Sam to make sure we were still good to go for that evening and he said of course. When arriving that evening, Sam was no where to be found and we were told that a different salesman was going to be helping us (I never once found out his name). The new sales guy had none of the information that Sam wrote down on Saturday, and then we see Sam but he doesn't even speak to us at all but he is helping someone else that walked in, after scheduling an appointment with us, its like he never meet us before. So after getting promised a price for our trade in, filling out paperwork beforehand, and discussing all the ends and out on Saturday, it was like we had never been there and never had spoken to anyone. Even the sales manager acted like he didn't know about the conversation he had with Sam on Saturday. Then after being told the car Sam showed us was not in our price range, we asked "What car do you have on your lot that will work?" He says, "Let me look and see, we will be right back." Then, the manager, finance manger, Sam, and this new sales guy are all in a huddle discussing something and the manger and new sales guy walk over and say, "We could get you in anything if you didn't have the other car." What? How does that make any sense?
I am not pleased at all with this type of service. I think they thought since I was a young female, that I did not know what I was doing. I am sorry but this is not how a dealership should operate, and it looks to me as if I am not the only one who has had problems recently. Be careful of this dealership, they tell you a bunch of lies just to get you in the door and then they all act like they do not know what you are talking about. I will be telling everyone I know to steer clear of Bob King and the crocked salesman and managers.
