The grouper basket was amazing. Surprising inexpensive for a seafood restraunt. Our server was friendly and very accommodating. Would go back if I was in the area. My wife didn't much enjoy the flounder.

Short staffed and we waited a long time for food. So probably short in kitchen to. Ten in our group and food didn't all come out as ordered.

Just had lunch. Found a hair in my slaw. Politely and quietly notified the staff. Expected some sort of compensation but the bill came without any sort of comp. When I asked our server if I could speak with the manager she went in the back of the kitchen to find her, but came out a few minutes later claiming she had just missed her before she left. Then handed me a piece of paper and asked me to leave a message for her and phone number to reach me at. Atmosphere was meh.food was decent but lacking. My deep fried grouper bites were tasty but the batter was not fried crispy. It was still mushy. This all took place at the tail end of lunch service when there was hardly any other customers in the restaurant. Oh.let's go ahead and mention that the server brought me the wrong beer I ordered and didn't take out our food which is probably why one of our orders was left in the kitchen and a different plate delivered. So they had to take that one back and find the right one. As a 10 year plus veteran of the service industry I would have to chalk this one up to sloppy management. They did however. Reach out to me that evening and followed back up with me today to apologize for the incident and resolved it by mailing out a gift card. I will be going back next week. A follow up review can be expected.

We invited friends from out of town to dine on the roof with us. The Waitress was a great girl, very polite and very attentive. The mixed drinks were pretty much alcohol free. The menu is very limited. The deck is beautiful, decorated in a tropical/nautical feel.
While we were waiting on our food, which took a very long time, it started raining, so we moved down stairs. This is the first time we have been in the down stairs. ITS NOISY !!! Only about half of the seats were taken and it was still very noisy.
Will I go back? Only for bottled drinks and not if we are hungry. I was embarrassed since I picked the restaurant to meet our friends.response / report this review -

Great food, extremely fast, but service was beyond poor. Treated like a 2nd class citizen for asking our server to run keno slips. Extremely short, and unable to describe menu items.

The atmosphere here is pretty cool! Definitely has the cool beach bar vibe. The menu is pretty big but the food was good, decent beer selection as well. Service was pretty bad though, they might be understaffed but we waited about 15 minutes for the waitress to bring us the first glasses of water. They need some improvement here.

Blue gill has great food, an interesting take on several pub classics, a good drink selection, a roof to eat and drink while looking out over the lake. The windows roll up like garage doors so even when you're sitting inside in the summer you're practically outside. Love the food, and good prices.

Been there twice. First was awesome. Good cold beer, great Salmon Bites, and super service! Second was, just alright. Sat down at bar, counter needed cleaning. As I wiped away crumbs with napkin, bartender took our order but never offered to clean up for me. Wasn't impressed. Beer was still cold though!

Excellent service! The food was very good and there were a lot of choices. There were sports playing on the televisions around the restaurant but the volumes were turned down to where you could still hold a conversation without shouting to each other. There were many couples and groups of couples dining. Seating was booths, tables, and high tables with room to pass comfortably. I'm not sure about traversing the restaurant with a wheelchair, however.
