Great small resort for kiddos and beginners. Comfort Inn over in Plainwell is a great spot to stay. Only 10 minutes from the resort.

Had a great time on Sweet Pea with the kids. Tom, the lifty, is the greatest; He's encouraging, always ready to help, and the kids love the regular "high five" as we make our laps. The heated patio is the best place to take a few minutes around the camp fire and warm up with some hot cocoa.

Bittersweet is a great family friendly place to ski/snowboard for the day. The high speed lift makes lapping the short hill much more bearable. It allows you to get more runs in and is more comfortable. There are a variety of run pitches too. Generally the staff is friendly and helpful other than park crew.

I have given Bittersweet three stars because its park is never set up logically. The features are in poor shape. They build jumps that neglect to consider physics (not in a good way).

I love Bittersweet but I am frequently disappointed with the park experience.

what makes this a great place to ski is although it is in lower Michigan, the lifts are fast and i like how all the lifts take you to the top so you can pick your runs/hill once at the top. a great bar too, surprisingly good for a smaller ski resort. they have also clean restrooms, well maintained.

Quad gets you to the top pronto. Ski shop is super. Wax and tune for $20. While you wait. Half hour 45 min. Outside grill or in. Deck to sit outside at bottom of hill

Great place to ski and snowboard. Fast quick chairlifts. Means you don't have to waste 1/2 your time standing in line or sitting on the chair waiting to ski

Very nice experience for my first skiing/snowboarding experience. Slopes were nicely groomed and the surrounding area was maintained. Dill, my instructor, was very friendly and extremely good at his job. Wait staff in restaurant were awesome too, as was the food. Only complaint was bathroom cleanliness, but place was packed. Prices are good and I will definitely be back again!

Amazing experience for a first time skiing. The trainer took special attention to each one of us and taught us a lot of stuff within an hour. We were able to go by ourselves on the slopes. My friends with intermediate skills had a good time as well.
Definitely recommend the beer battered fries.

If you go here expecting CO, you'll be disappointed. It's a great place to learn or get your legs under you before a trip out west. There was no snow on the trip up to the resort from NWI but the resort had more than enough and even with some rain was a lot less icy than I was expecting.

It was worth the 1 hr 45 min drive and their slopes are open fairly late.

Great skiing in Michigan. Although there was no real snow, the fake snow created was of good quality. The employees working the lifts were nice and organized the lines. There are trip cords on the lifts, so if someone has trouble getting off, the cord will unplug and stop the lift. There are ski patrol around to help those who get injured. The lodge is nice and warm with a picnic area for those who bring their own lunch as well as seating areas for the bar and cafeteria. There is a nice patio out back to sit and watch. The rental station is organized and all employees are nice. Overall, great experience skiing here.

Great ski area in southwest Michigan, with two conveyor belts, 7 lifts (including a high speed quad) and three ropes. The terrain areas are excellent, including a beginner area with boxes and a rail, plus a much larger area with various elements that change and improve throughout the season. There is a nice mogul run on the front slope, and Master racing on yhe weekend. The Ski school is high quality with various rates for classes, group, and private lessons as well as lessons for snowboarders. There are also kids classes on the weekends so that Parents can go off and do the larger slopes. Rental is well organized for boards and skis. Free ski/board check. Four areas to buy food: heated patio, quick window, bar, and cafeteria. Well worth a full day. Get there by 9:00 to enjoy the great groomed corduroy on all the slopes. :-)
