  My first spa experience was here last year and I'm so excited to go back next week! The whole staff is super friendly and accommodating, and we were even allowed to bring in our own snacks and drinks! The whole salon has a super classy, cozy feel and I loved our little private room where we could relax and eat/drink. I got a massage, a facial and a pedicure and all three services were sublime. I had never gotten a facial before and I couldn't believe how amazing it felt. I'd highly recommend going there if you're thinking about getting a facial for the first time!

  Nice setting, although the two stylists I went to were inexperienced with blonde subtle balayage technique. I was specific with wanted I wanted and brought photos of the technique. My hair was over processed and brassy, then corrected with dye and toner which made it a muddled color. The owner was not willing to correct a third time or refund my money for service. I would not recommend for blonde balayage.

  My girlfriends and I had the place to ourselves for our ladies day/bachelorette spa day and it was amazing! The staff went above and beyond, topping off our wine and grabbing our snacks from our room. We each got a massage, facial, and pedicureeveryone enjoyed all their services. The atmosphere was great and I'd recommend this spa to anyone who is looking for a truly luxurious experience.

  $240 for a 2.5 hour mani pedi and a scrub. I had to take an hour (turned out to be 1.5 hour) lunch break in between which was disappointing due to scheduling. I got hives from the scrub, but the manager called and offered a complimentary massage.

  I love the crown jewel! I went in for a manicure done by Aletha and it turned out great! The polish lasted for a lot longer than I've ever had just from regular polishes. I love the atmosphere and the staff were all so nice. I will definitely be coming back!

  I, honestly, do not think that you could find a better Spa and Salon other than that of The Crown Jewel in Grand Rapids! Their service and expertise goes way beyond what you would expect from a traditional hair salon.
  
  The facility, itself, gives you a sense of serenity and peace when you enter the salon greeted by soothing sounds of water and a cozy sitting area by the fire. The front desk is always very professional and offers to take your coat and get you a beverage of your choice.
  
  I have learned so much about premium hair care from my stylist and how to keep it looking its best by being a loyal customer since 2007!
  
  I typically see Melissa for my hair services but will go to ANY one of their stylists, if needed. The Crown Jewel does an amazing job of employing only THE best and continually educates them with new innovations!
  
  I have recommended many friends and family, over the years, and they all have had the same great experience as I have and made The Crown Jewel their salon as well!

  Service far beyond my expectations.. I called in to the Crown Jewel last minute to book a massage appointment. They were able to get a 90 min massage book for me the following day with Anita. I was shocked that I was able to get something scheduled so quickly especially since most of the surrounding spas expect you to book several days in advance and rarely make exceptions.
  
  I arrived to my appointment and I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist. She offered to take my coat and asked if I would care for some hot tea, water or if I preferred something else.
  
  Shortly after, the owner (Julie) of the Crown Jewel came into the lobby and we engaged in a pleasant conversation. Its rare that you have the opportunity to meet the owner of a spa and it was nice to be welcomed by not only a pleasant receptionist but the owner herself.
  
  Anita joined us in the lobby and took me back for a massage. I have had several massages over the years and I have to say Anita was amazing. She is very professional and a fabulous massage therapist. I enjoyed the full body massage .and ABSOLUTLY, hands down the best neck massage I have ever had.
  
  I was so pleased with my experience that I purchased a gift card for a friend on my way out.
