This hospital is hit and miss when it comes to treatment. When I've been there for obvious problems (broken bones, burns, etc.) care has been fine. Well, except when I broke my wrist in two places, I told them that I thought my foot was broken as well. The PA reluctantly did an X-Ray of the foot, and it was indeed broken. When I broke my collar bone, I told the ER doc SEVERAL times that when I fell, I hit my head on cement and my head snapped to the side and back onto the cement---basically 'sideways' whiplash. Nothing was done. Even after seeing an Orthopedist, the neck issue was not addressed. It wasn't until months later (after having numbness and weakness in my R arm---despite months of PT for the fracture)) I saw a Neurologist who performed an EMG and found damage to my brachial plexus. In the ER, if it's something they can't immediately identifythey chalk it up to 'stress' or 'anxiety.' I go to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea whenever I'm able. Had a horrible visit to this ER. They put me under my middle name & not my first name. When I called to correct it, I thought everything would be fine with the billing. Then I find out I'm still being charged $871 for the visit my insurance would cover. There's no way to directly call the hospital. Not to mention one of the security guards punched me in the jaw. I guess I should have sued & avoided all of this.

I'm just wanting to share how Henry Ford Allegiance treats people on disability. I had an unsuccessful back surgery a year and a half ago and have only worked a few months since that time. I have a hefty bill at Henry Ford because of the surgery. I entered into a payment plan and have been making the payments using my credit cards as I've had no income. I was awarded disability and the payments will start in the new year. Unfortunately there is no room left to make credit payments. I have spoke to several people in the business office to try and adjust the payments or just make partial payments until January and I have been told no, that because I entered into a payment agreement, nothing can be done. I made one partial payment and called today to see if I could make a partial payment and keep it out of collections and was told no, that it wouldn't keep it out of collections. They also wouldn't let me reapply for their discount program. I even sent them proof of my disability award and when it would start and they still were not willing to work with me. It's insane that they would rather settle for pennies on the dollar with a collection agency than have me pay the full amount. I won't be having any future surgeries with Henry Ford Allegiance.

This system is by far the worst care that I've ever received. I would not recommend this business for any health services to anyone. If you want good care it's best to seek outside of Jackson County!

I collapsed months ago walking into my bathroom from being sick for months, I had to slide on my back thru two doors to my garage and grabbed the railing to press the open button luckily neighbor heard me immediately called 911 and waved them down. Foote/allegiance/Henry ford has big shortage of ER doctors and inpatient interest doctors. So residents are running loose in ER, dried to tell how sick I had been and gave up after I described the most recent infection could not in the moment remember medical term but explained how my dr did we have air cells on both sides of the back of our head that can get inflamed I had miles swelling and aching on one side with ear pain the resident said my doctor didn't know what he was talking about the entire skull was solid bone covered only by skin, I could not understand how he did not know basic anatomy yet treating patients in the Er He ordered Ct of head,neck, and lt ankle X-ray never gave fluids or anything for pain and said I was fine and sent me home throughout the night I started having basic symptoms of bad concussion blurred vision talk slow ear pain and trouble breathing from neck injury so called another ambulance and the doctor checked med list before seeing me asked if I normally talk slow and left for 6 hrs just fluids and not going in quickly refused to come explain what was going on,no pain mess did not want to hear what happened day before finally came said my heart rate got to 39 and blood pressure almost bottomed out they thought they were going to lose me but fine being admitted but would be late next day afternoon before any bed available so left alone no medical care ER doctor would not give Ned's or see me 20hours having withdrawals or seizures,they have. No set up like every other hospital that the internet comes to see you and make sure of your care and comfort till room available. When brought to room Doctor saw few minutes didn't want to stay and left ordered only three Ned's I take like 17. When the night nurse came every time I bent my neck I could not breathe she paged him urgently for hours to call her he never did. I never had anything to eat or drink and with. Help transferred to bed side commode finally two days later about 4am they transferred to a open bed on regular floor talk about waist of cleaning crew the internet was to lazy to come discharge me were I was , he showed up with 3 residents he was training at the same time and said he had been checking I was just fine and sent me home I live alone and was sow weak I could not walk from my bed to the bathroom so called 3rd ambulance and said take me to st joes in Chelsea after only most 2 hours taken to room and doctor came to ER to tell me his plans and see me when I got to my room. The nurse came in immediately and asked what was on my hand embarrassed I said bowel she immediately got a aid and another nurse and washed me head to toe and washed my hair that's the kind of care I got in Chelsea constant wonderful care. I will never go to Jackson hospital again! !

Our teenage son was in a minor car accident yesterday and was taken to the Emergency room by ambulance. The staff in the reception area, security, nurses, EMT, doctors, assistants, paperwork personnel were all outstanding. We were very impressed by how professional and efficient they all were while being warm, compassionate and reassuring at the same time. We are very grateful for the excellent care and service.

I have had mixed experiences here. I have had two surgeries done here, the first was a very poor experience, and the second was good. I had my jacket, hat, and vest stolen by someone on staff. They paid me for my stuff, but had to go out in 20 degree weather, with out a coat or hat because of some thief on staff. Now on the other side, their imaging department has been great. Everyone involved in imaging, has been very professional and helpful.

I went to their outpatient psychiatric care. Which was a very rewarding experience. My only issue being due to a communication breakdown, the staff told me to stay longer than I was covered by insurance and I just believed them that it would be okay. I know it was an honest mistake but leaving a depressed unemployed college graduate with 4k more debt. I guess that's more the system rather than the hospital. Another plus is it seems like a large amount of the expense may be covered by their uncompensated care program. I'm just waiting on my paperwork to be filled out.

I have been there 3 times in the last week with exmerte admonainl pain ans i sat there tonight from 5 to 11 something aftwr being sent by my doctor because something wasn't right and they got scared. And I am filling a complaint.

This is a horrible place to work. Nepotism is rampant within the organization. The corporate culture preaches support for employees, but management and other departments always point fingers for problems instead of offering solutions. It appeared that in order to make themselves more appealing for their merger with UM (which failed and now affiliated with Henry Ford), the system conducted strategic terminations of employment where problems/violations were created out of thin air and put employees on corrective action. Employees eventually left the organization or were fired due to the corrective action plan, which allowed them to not pay unemployment benefits. The benefits were also horrible. 401k match was 0.25% of the first 3% that you contribute. I would encourage potential employees to seek employment in Lansing or Ann Arbor. This organization will eventually crumble under the weight of their horrible corporate culture and nepotistic management.

Came in for a breast ultrasound and was told there was no concern. Got a call the following week saying they want to do a biopsy upon further evaluation. Come into my appointment at 12:45 and at 1:35 I'm still waiting to go back. Not good for business. The reason why the reviews are so bad. You just don't matter

Had to stay here for three days. The employees for the most part are pretty nice but I had the worst experience ever when it came to them trying to put an IV in me. I've never had issues before with IV placement. The first one they did in the emergency room the guy seemed a little clueless and was not gentle he got the needle in my arm after the third painful try and he didn't do a very good job. The needle sat painfully in my arm for about a day until I finally got someone to replace it. I was assured the woman who was doing it has a ton of experience. It took her four tries before she fished around painfully and placed it in the top of my hand. I'm definitely afraid of needles now.

I usually don't write these reviews but I have had such a bad experience with the billing department at Allegiance that I feel like I have to warn others. Over a year ago they billed me for a baby I didn't have (apparently there is another person in Jackson with my name) and a few months later, after talking to them and getting the situation "corrected", they called collections on this same bill. Long story short, I was assured this situation was "corrected" again fast forward to 2 other collections notices and multiple hours of getting it "corrected" now one year later I receive another notice from collections regarding the pediatric hospital bill for the baby that I never had!!! My family will never go to Allegiance again but it doesn't matter because they keep billing me for services I never received. Don't go there. Don't get your name in their system. Stay as far away from that department as possible.
