One of our go to restaurants in Charlotte. The ambiance is nice and the food consistently great. A seasonally rotating menu allows you to try new things while relying on your standbys. Save room for the bread pudding you will be glad you did!
My heaven, when I need a mood wine, or brunch, when I need some privacy and peace, I'm just mad they close on Mondays to make sure my food is fresh and perfect the rest of the week. Swedish meat balls, yes, the gnocchi, yup, of course they have dessert on point everytime, the flavor in this place is just off the charts. So under rated, if you ever plan on spending 100$ on a dinner don't stop by here and put that money to good use. Give your woman a night she won't forget guys, for real
This was the 3rd time I've been to this location and it was just as amazing as the other times! The food is super tasty, staff is very welcoming and friendly, OH and did I mention how good the food is! :) The coffee is great and so are the mimosas. If you go for lunch or dinner you have to get the saphron muscles! They are to die for!! Definitely one of my new favorite spots.
The eggs benedict with spinach was perfect. Next time I will not get the potatoes. Definitely not home made.
Best bloody Mary I have had in a long time. Perfect balance between the vodka and the tomato juice.
Bistro La Bon is typically the nicest and most enjoyable restaurant in Plaza Midwood on any given night. I don't have to say, "There's nowhere to park." or, "There's a long line and they don't take reservations." or, "The food is bad." That makes it an easy choice.
The brunch was phenomenal. 10/10 would go again. My brother was looking for perfectly poached eggs and he found them here.
The butternut squash lasagna is amazing. The food here is generally delicious. Wished the waiters were a bit faster, but do not let that stop you from trying their lasagna !
I definitely recommend the brunch A very unique brunch experience! We popped in on a Sunday morning had a wonderful brunch, the offerings on the brunch not your standard brunch items which was quite refreshing. Everything there fresh made in house right down to the French and sourdough breads.
We came to the Bistro La Bon after driving around plaza midwood for a few minutes looking for something new. There was no wait on this particular Saturday night, but the place was lively and welcoming. Our server, Juan, was incredible. He knew the menu like the back of his hand. This place has been locally recognized for it's small plates, so we let Juan take the lead. From apple and walnut Gnocchi to lamb chops to goat cheese stuffed peppers, we indulged in about half of the twenty or so small plates. On our second round, we indulged in the Gorgonzola linguine, crispy Brussels sprouts and chili glazed avocado egg rolls. The bread pudding and caramelized banana split for dessert was a perfect top to a great meal.
I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a Mediterranean fusion style place to try. If you're lucky, you'll get seated right away, because this place will not stay Charlotte' best kept secret much longer!
When in Charlotte, I always make sure to make a stop at Bistro Le Bon. Their Sunday brunch is particularly good. The service is always amazing, polite, professional, and extremely attentive. Even things as simple as scrambled eggs or bacon are cooked perfectly. I can not recommend this restraunt more. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it!
Top notch. New chef is really knocking it out of the park. Rack of lamb special was cooked perfectly and was the star of the show.
We tried the brunch and we were very disappointed after reading the reviews although there were some negative ones. The eggs and bacon I ordered came out after I finished eating two helpings from the buffet which didn't have hardly any breakfast items and wasn't that good especially for the price. We will not be going back.
Dinner Saturday night was up and down. It took an hour to get our table of four's drinks. A solid hour. (Two of the drinks were even the same!) Our server apologized, and said the next round would be compensated, which we thought was fine.
Our food began arriving way before drinks, and was delicious. We enjoyed everything.
With our next drink order, they offered to comp one of our small plates. Then they took off a $6 app, which wasn't really a great apology for taking an hour to make four drinks.
Later the waiter knocked a glass of water in my lap. (Since I'd only gotten the one glass of water and no refills, there wasn't much, but my lap was soaked!)
We enjoyed much of the evening, but I'm not rushing back anytime soon.
Went here on a Saturday morning with a group of 5. It took a hour and 15 min to get our food. Our food was cold and one of our plates had hair in it. My plate consisted of 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 1 English muffin and 2 forkfuls of hash browns. Costs around a $1.50 to make cost me $12.00.
Positives: Our waiter was coo and its a really nice restaurant.
