So while the stylist's are friendly when it comes to sew-ins my job was horrible. I had two packs of hair ( pretty sure my left over hair was kept) 2 packs wasn't in my head when I took it down. My tracks slipped and loosened 2 weeks later. The thread was tangled in my natural hair, which could have pulled out my own hair. The braid pattern done to hold the tracks in place wasn't sewn down so taking the tracks out became even more difficult.

I would give this N.Tryon location 0 stars of I could bc of rhe quality of workbut DON'T GO HERE FOR SEW-INS!!

My the first day i got my box braids done they looked great. Here it is a month later and i see a braid that had just came out. Not just the braid though. I found an entire chunk of my hair in the braid and i have a huge bald spot on my head , I am heated. We talked to the manager who never contacted us back like she said. This place is unprofessional and awful. DO NOT GO HERE

I've been to the South Tryon location a number of times for a box braid bob and cornrows. And, they have always been professional and do a great job. Today, I took in my son for cornrows and he loves them. Ask for Nina she is awesome!

Hello all let me just say this my experience with this salon (the first visit) my hair was gorgeous I had nothing but compliments from the day that it was put into my hair (Feb 2017-May 2017). So with great work I knew that I would be a returning customer. And I was in June 2017 I went back. At first my hair yet again flawless stayed in the mirror until the next day one of the feed in braids came out, look I am not one of those clients that if one hair is out of place I start complaining so I said nothing until the next day another strain came out that's when I notified Ms. Carolyn and told her about what was going on. she said I will have Kristy to contact you never received a call, days go by and hair is still coming out, by this time I am calling daily to report my hair issues. I had spoke with several different people by this time to only be told I'll take your name and number and have Kristy to contact you. Finally she did return my call only to tell me that I am the reason why my hair is coming out because I brushed my hair instead of combing it. after that she made a suggestion to have me to come back to NC to only fix one braid when they all are coming out. Did I forget to mention that she wanted me to drive all the way from SC to NC to fix one braid. Later she relayed a message to me that she would not redo my entire head only one braid because of what she considered wear and tear. Mind you the day that I was there I sat patiently for her to do my hair as she argued with staff members which (2) quit and left a customer in the chair as she walked out, the owner had to call in another stylist from home to come in and finish this lady hair, but I waited on her I told her listen handle your business. But All in all Kristy is an outstanding stylist who knows her tree braids. I just came on the day she happened to be off her A game. WILL NOT BE RETURNING, IT'S A SHAME

Why the hell do thy braid so tight. Even after asking not to braid so tight, my hair was so tight that I now have bald spots after only 1 week. I will NEVER go back.

My visit today was horrible. I sat for over 20min while The braided ate. Them when she does show up. The language barrier really was an issue. I ask for the base braid down for a weave. There was this big discussion among her pers about how to do it speaking in French which I think is very rude, when using hand gestures and nasty face expressions. I will never go back. The front desk reception wasnt there she can usually translate. But horrible exerience.

Today was my first time here. I researched this place before hand read all sorts of reviews and decided this was worth it. In the end i was so totally right. I made my apppintment online and they honored it. As soon as i came in the ladys were super nice and accommodating. Two ladys stayed on my head the entire time. Never asked for a break or took one. I asked them for one lol so i could wake up. They finished within 5 hours. My normal place was abbies hair braiding. But they up charge crazy and are rude and slack every time i went. This place did none of the sort. I love this place and love my hair. It was worth every penny i spent and i will return and send my friends and family to them. If your looking for a new hair home i found it for you. No need to look any further bignons is the best.

This was my first time visiting Bignon's hair braiding. They took me right away without an appointment. I must say they honor their policy because my braids was not to the standards of my profession (job). I returned the next day explaining to the receptionist, both lady who did my twist was there. At first I felt one of the ladies took offense but I later felt she was ok. I asked several questions about her being able to correct the twist. She was willing to give it a try but in the end her and I agreed on removing the twist n give me several braids. I had to remove the braids because they were making small bumps around the edge of my head. I feel the issue I had was handle very professionally and I will return for a different style. The only suggestion I can make is when a customer have an issue, if the language the customer speak is English and the beautician also can speak English.. then the conversation should be spoken in English out of respect to the customer.
I appreciate their willingness to correct the issue I had. I would recommend them to my friends as the visit the Charlotte area.
