It has always been a struggle to find someone that understands (and embraces) my curly hair but Bill totally gets it and makes my hair look awesome! I'm so glad to have stumbled across him four years ago. If you want a salon that makes you feel special, Shag is the place to be!

I had been looking for a new hairdresser for quite sometime and came across Shag's web site and enjoyed watching Bill do his magic on the video featured. Bills' 30 years of experience shows in the results given! He listens. and offers suggestions to enhance or compliment what you are envisioning your results to be. I have been very pleased with Bill, his staff and the environment of his establishment. Here's to another 30 years, Bill!!!

I've been coming to Shag since I moved to Harrisburg two years ago and have always been very satisfied. Everyone is so friendly and there's always chocolates and drinks to help you relax. They really go the extra mile to please their customers. I was also especially pleased to find a place nearby that was knowledgable about black hair and able to do relaxers and keratin treatments and they were very accommodating, as I have a sensitive scalp and they helped me try some different treatments to figure out what worked best.

have been going to Bill since the mid 1990's when my previous stylist moved from Harrisburg and recommended Bill to his customersand I have not been disappointedI have a wacky schedule at times and he always does his best to accommodate mealways get compliments on my hair color and cut.Lisa his receptionist is great and keeps everything running smoothly. I have recommended him to several of my friends and they have all been very pleased!

I was searching for a top notch colorist --- and that is what Bill Trotter, owner of "Shag" is! With his expertise, he can visualize, based on your coloring/hair, what will be the optimum look and color for you! I cannot tell you how many compliments I receive on my hair -- its color and cut -- male and female alike! I trust Bill implicitly to tell me the truth about my hair and what can and cannot work --- people have to be willing to listen to an expert -- and he will ALWAYS be truthful. The intimacy of the shop is another plus -- it is "all about you" and you are not just another appointment in the book! Give Lisa a call -- she is a sweetie of a receptionist -- and you will be very happy you came to "Shag"!

I was looking for a SMASHING short haircut, something fresh, something that would flatter my face. I was looking for a stylist who could just look at me and my hair and figure out an awesome cut. And oh boy, did Bill deliver! Awesome cut! Different! Perfect for a professional lady yet with an edge. I am definitely going back. Oh, and his price is pretty reasonable, too.
