Food was good but service was terrible. Our salads were brought out before the appetizers. Our cocktails arrived after that. My husband got his appetizer right before the entree arrived. His steak was well done instead of medium rare. Our server literally walked away after pouring a taste of wine. After being gone for a few minutes, we poured our own glasses of wine. He came back and grabbed the bottle later. Very disappointing experience.
Amazing! From the atmosphere to the service and drinks everything was perfect and above expectations. My fiancé proposed during dessert and the staff was so helpful and sweet. As for the food, both of us said it was the best meal we have ever eaten.
Great service, food and drinks. The antelope and quail dish was incredibly flavorful and just the right amount of food. The mixed drinks are unique (espresso infused rye) and well done if you are into that, which I am. This place is away from the "main riverwalk area" but totally worth the 10 minute walk along the river.
My wife and I had a reservation for Saturday 10/21 at 6pm. We are from out of town but had been encouraged to try this restaurant and I’m so happy we did! The valet was quick and we arrived fifteen minutes early and were seated immediately - awesome! Our waitress was Brittany (from Virginia) and she did such an amazing job! Personable, recommended starters, drinks and entrees to us that we’re favorites and that she too enjoyed! Best service we’ve had during our San Antonio stay! This would have been a 5 star rating, but unfortunately our venison did come out medium/medium well rather than the medium rare we had requested, it was also only seared on one side. My wife ordered lamb and it too was over cooked rather than the medium rare that we had requested - still of course edible and good flavor but wish it wouldn’t have been so cooked. Fabulous restaurant and I’d definitely recommend to anyone coming to San Antonio! Thank you Brittany (from the folks from Kansas, Go Chiefs!) you made our evening spectacular!
We Had an awesome time with Biga! Loved the food! Fabulous atmosphere! Great customer service! We will be back!
Love Going to Biga love the Ambiance Everybody is so nice .The food is exemplary. every time I go and I've gone many times Chef Bruce really knows how to put it all together and make it taste delicious
I am here as we speak. I have spent the past couple days pent up in a hotel convention center and wanted nothing more than to eat outside. Came here and was seated with a beautiful view of the river. Of course as soon as my wine was delivered, i started to rain. The offered me a covered spot since i so badly wanted to be outside. I enjoyed my dinner dry, in the rain, with fabulous service. Highly recommended
My wife and I had a reservation set for our anniversary and we were promptly seated. However, after we were seated we we're not seen by our waiter for over 15 minutes. We didn't even get a, "I'll be right with y'all." We were totally disappointed, as we had been looking forward to this for months.
We went by in a real big hurry and didn't actually get a chance to stop by. But the place was absolutely beautiful and deserving of five stars. Maybe next time we'll go in.
Have been here several times, but tonight was a disaster. Lamb was over cooked. We sent it back. Waitress became very detached. Manager stopped by. But couldnt have cared less. His name is Rene Martinez. He stopped by, but couldn't get away fast enough. I am a chef. This was not a high quality meal. If it was, I would be fine paying for it, but it was at best a 3 star experience. On the Michelin scale, these guys would be disqualified.
On a side note, it was a birthday for one at our table. Brittany, our waitress, simply dropped off the dish without saying a word. This is not what I expect from a chef of this c as caliber.
Never again!
Honesty some of the best duck I have ever eaten. Everything else is just decent so call ahead and make sure they have duck if possible, they tend to run out on weekends. Overall one of the best restaurants in San Antonio.
Want to give 5 more stars. Excellent dessert place in San Antonio. Nice and friendly servers and grace atmosphere. Must try artistic 'Sticky chocolate pudding'.
Tried Dim Sum for the first time, that was interesting having 5 people walk up to you all at the same time with their carts of food. Always up for trying new things! The cooked food seems to look a lot better although I didn't try any of that. The atmosphere was good a nice huge room with a ton of seating and nice air conditioning. The service was great always had a full drink!
