This solid three star hotel gave me a well appointed, large room with a king bed. An older hotel, but well-maintained. My room was off the courtyard and very quiet. Only a couple of blocks from cannery row. Very good underground parking for $15. Very friendly front desk, wine and cheese later in the afternoon, and a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates in my room. I’m not sure, but the bottle of wine might have related to me being a gold rewards member. The free breakfast was better than average in terms of free breakfasts. And thank you for being a dog friendly hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
This is a great hotel. The rooms are really comfortable and clean. The location is great, as it is walking distance to everything. If I had to think of a negative, it would be the breakfast. It is pretty basic, and both mornings they had plain egg omelets. All in all, it's a great hotel, and I will be staying here again when in the area.
Great Inn. Good location. Quiet and beautiful area. Nice reception. Breakfast was nice although I've had more of a selection at other BW hotels. Overall a great place to stay I will be back. 4 stars due to $15 parking charge.
We stayed at the Victorian Inn overnight for a wedding in town. The hotel was gracious enough to allow an early check-in so that we could get changed in time to make the wedding. The room was very nice and had an ocean view. It would have been nice to extend our stay and enjoy the accommodations, but we had to get back home.
We loved the Victorian decor of this hotel, and the fireplace in the room. We appreciated being allowed to bring our small dog with us, and how the hotel provided a bowl of doggie kibble upon our arrival. The breakfast was good, and we also enjoyed the wine and cheese hour. We liked how the hotel was within walking distance of Cannery Row. Staff was especially friendly and helpful.
Love the stay. It was close to everything and clean, neat and comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful. The fact that they accommodate pets is a real plus!!! It was really nice seeing all the cute, furry friends there. The food was nice at breakfast and the wine & cheese at night was a real treat. All in all, I will stay here next time I come and tell everyone I know about it.
A lovely hotel in by the heart of Monterey. We experienced the ambiance of history and the people were oh so friendly. We visited the information of Commerce and the associate was very helpful. We loved the walk ways and the ocean side. Was a lovely experience and was interesting to learn about Cannery Row.
The room was cozy and clean. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf were within walking distance. Felt safe and comfortable walking in the area at night. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to someone.
I definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay again! Customer service here is superb! Loved the wine and cheese reception, and breakfast held us over until lunch time. My husband was a little warm in the room due to not having a/c and we are just used to sleeping with the a/c on. I also wish there was a pool or hot tub but other than that this place is great and in a great location.
This was a really great hotel! We arrived in time for the evening wine and cheese reception and were greeted by the friendliest young men at the front desk. Loved our balcony and fireplace, and enjoyed a short walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This is a cozy, clean hotel, with friendly staff, nice decor and comfy beds. We hope to stay again!
Nice property. Fair prices, but they do charge $15 a night for parking. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly. Close to Cannery Row. No serious concerns.
Overall our experience at this hotel was good. The room was surprisingly big and the beds provided a good night's rest. The free breakfast had lots of options and was pretty good.
The reason this hotel gets 3 stars is do to the awful shower. The pressure was weak and the height of the shower head was at my chesterr
Nice little hotel! All of the staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable - excellent beds! Breakfast was decent for a hotel breakfast, they even had gluten-free bread (Just ask for it!)
Only a couple of grumbles:
The "two person jacuzzi tub" in the premium room was too small for two people.
The shower over said tub was rubbish.
The price was a bit much for what's offered. At 25% cheaper it would be quite fair.
Overall I would recommend it, if the price isn't an obstacle.
Very nice hotel. This was our first time staying and we will definitely be back. Very friendly staff and very nice room. Recommend getting the third floor if possible, they have high vaulted ceilings, very cute rooms. Loved the personal touches, gave us complimentary bottle of wine. Great location too, walking distance to Canery Row.
