Our room (317) had a strong mildew smell. Not sure where from, probably the carpet or a/c. We had 4 more nights there so we politely asked Travis from the from desk if it would be possible to switch our rooms because of the smell. Absolutely not was his response and told us he could actually get in trouble for doing so. He also blamed us saying that we should've said something immediately upon arrival. I invited him up to the room to smell the mildew but he declined and remained completely unwilling to change our rooms! Surprised he would not help, we called Best Western corporate. A representative understood our concern and called Travis at the front desk. 5 minutes later she said Travis agreed to switch the rooms free of charge, but he accused us of being belligerent, drunk, and yelling at him in front of customers! This was completely untrue as it was 6 PM, we were completely sober, and the lobby was empty when we had the conversation. He clearly made this up to avoid scrutiny. When we went back down to collect our new room key, Travis handed us the new key. He did not say one word to us and it was uncomfortable to say the least. The other staff were pleasant. Hope to hear response from manager.

This is a great hotel with lots of shopping, restaurants and night spots within walking distance. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. My room was very clean and the housekeepers did a great job! Breakfast was excellent and a great way to start my day.

This hotel appears to be brand new. The grounds and room are very clean and the décor is right up to date. Breakfast was delicious along with the presentation. A very courteous and helpful staff exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend booking your next stay at the Sundial

Wow!!! What a great place..if you like location and price..this is the Hotel to stay at. There are two people that stand out for this Place! Jessica and Travis! What great people..very friendly, professional but most important are genuine. I know there are more employees like them that work there but didn't have time to get to know them all..the only minor set back is wished they had more selection of fresh fruits for the breakfast..like pineapples, strawberries, blueberries and etc..but again minor..overall just an great Best Western Plus Hotel. I will highly recommend this hotel to everyone..

My husband and I just returned from a 5 day stay at the Best Western Sundial in Scottsdale Arizona. It was in the top 3 hotels that we have ever stayed at because of the staff. From Jude, the General Manager, and front desk, Jessica and Travis, to the housekeeping staff and breakfast attendants, made our trip absolutely wonderful. Everyone treats you like family. Rooms are tastefully decorated and immaculate. The full breakfast is most delicious, especially the upscale coffee they serve. The location definitely cannot be beat. We will only stay at this hotel each time we return to Scottsdale and will highly recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Scottsdale!!

I'm here for a corporate training event and this hotel is convenient to the mall and plenty of restaurants as well as various other places. It's a beautiful hotel with nice rooms and comfy beds. Lots of channels and a delicious breakfast. Great value for a Best Western Plus. Thank you.

Upset with reminder call for check out. We've stayed in/on properties from motels to high-end resorts internationally and we were never called 5' before checkout to remind us. When asked for latitude the front desk agent said the "owner" no longer allowed "late checkouts". He added they needed to clean the room for "early arrivals" and I asked if he could accommodate these, why not a "late departure". He did not answer. Great property, however with fair rate, but not sure if I'll stay there again in light of this odd policy.

HIGHLY recommended! I was in town for business and needed a no hassle hotel. This place had it all, great staff, nice, clean rooms and great amenities. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Scottsdale this is it, close to food, shopping ETC. the staff are super friendly and the housekeepers will make sure your room is clean and has everything u need daily! I will definetly return on my next trip to Scottsdale! Thank you.

My stay here was very comfortable the free breakfast was delicious. I got a free complimentary room and love my room so much that I decided to stay another night. They gave me a room with a jacuzzi I haven't looking for a Jacuzzi room since I've moved to Arizona and I have not been able to find one. It is conveniently located by the Scottsdale Mall and all of the restaurants and clubs. I would definitely recommend all of my out-of-towners

Jessica is very friendly at the check-in desk. The hotel is clean and the beds are awesome. All the ladies who prepare breakfast, keep the coffee and food supplied. The continental breakfast is really good. The groundskeeper is always busy. The hotel is close to Old Town Scottsdale (shops) and Fashion Square Mall. Plus, it is close to many great restaurants.

Best Western Sundial's staff went out of the way to assist our group as we had a handicap guest and an elderly guest with us. All of the front desk workers knew my daughter by name, allowed my daughter to double check all of the rooms would be accessible for both guests with wheelchairs and made sure the pool's chair lift was properly working! Lovely breakfast set-up and hot breakfast options; quality food was needed for our hikes and we did not have to supplement out meals after we left.

Yes I'm Marriott loyal and I used points for our stay. But this place has an amazing location, still looks brand new after 5 years old and the service is amazing! Pool is great too. Highly recommended!

Superb location, great staff and wonderful amenities. There is no other reason to stay anywhere else when visiting Scottsdale. I've never connected with "hotel staff" at any of the other places I've traveled but each and every employee is nice and goes out of their way to make you feel like a valued customer. When you're traveling, it's nice to feel like you're among family and friends.

We have often stayed at this wonderful hotel and were not disappointed this trip.
We were treated like returning family and once again totally enjoyed our stay. Both Management and staff went out their way to show sincere appreciation for our business. We reserved several months ago and were given our favorite room, which was really the icing on the cake.
The room was great and so was the free breakfast.
We would not even consider staying at any other hotel in Scottsdale or Phoenix for that matter and will return as soon as possible.response / report this review
