While this hotel is small and charges a lot, the location is nice right across the beach. It did not bother us to have an oceanfront room overlooking the pacific coast highway and the traffic sounds were not that disturbing, but our neighbor who talked over our TV and used profanity was the downfall of our 4 day stay. Why should we have to move after 2 days in a great room because someone doesn't know what and "indoor voice" is. The desk contacted them to no avail. A knock on the door resulted in a male voice saying sorry but it continued for the next 2 days. We could always tell when they left and we could catch up on sleep. The breakfast is very good with a few of the chairs couches, comfortable and clean. Coffee there 24hrs/day, and I could escape to sit in the breakfast area at any time to avoid our noisy neighbor. Parking is not enough but u can't beat $7 compared to other hotels. Elevator was checked in May, but it comes to an abrupt halt, is jerky and bumpy when reaching ground floor. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Kyle. Hotel offers chairs, umbrellas and other items to take to the beach. A beautiful walk across the street right on the sea.

I love this town and this hotel is in a very convenient location. The beach is across the street and two of Newport best restaurants are a stones throw from the parking lot. The rooms were clean and recently updated. It is currently being renovated and the exterior looks a little bit rough. The neighboring motel is an eye sore but that's not this hotel's fault. Would stay again.

I've been here many times and I always had a great stay! Very good location as it is close to the beautiful beach, a friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms with a comfy bed and on top a breakfast that includes a lot of different items like pancakes, waffles, sandwiches, cereal and more. I can very much recommend this hotel. If you're using public transportation: the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Looking forward to be back soon!

Great location and clean! My husband and I wanted a weekend to spend our 3rd year wedding anniversary and newport beach was a fun idea and not a far drive from us.
When we arrived, the outside exterior was not what I expected but as soon as you go inside, they have the modern interiors that are pleasing to the eyes.
Best western is a brand you can trust if you are unsure which property to stay in tourist locations. They have helpful staff and they have Angelica who is a good manager for this location.
Their breakfast room is so cute in design and their breakfast includes waffles, eggs, oatmeal, sausages and not just muffins!
And I am returning to this location again and have a girl’s weekend to celebrate a very good friend’s birthday! That shows satisfaction with this property!response / report this review -

The hotel was clean, but going through a remodel so it was loud under construction. It is walking distance to the beach and they have beach toys, umbrellas, and chairs you can check out and use which was great. The main issue was the room was shockingly small. It had 2 queen beds, one you walked into when you walked in the door and then there is about 2 ft. Between the beds and then the second queen bed touches the air condition unit on the other wall. It was very tiny, good for 2 people not 4.

Hotel needs to be redone, inside and out. Value received was good for price. Very limited parking. Best feature was closeness to the beach. Only 2 blocks. On a very busy street.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. Friendly staff. Clean. Nice breakfast. Free internet. Very close to the beach. Easy check-in and check-out. Great beach items lent for free. Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and toys. The only downside was the room was too small for 2 queen beds. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again.

It is a great place to stay and enjoy the uncrowded section of Newport Beach. Very relaxing and everything you need is within walking distance. Rooms are always clean and the staff is very attentive!

Very welcoming location close to the beach. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The complimentary use of beach items was a great touch to our stay. We will stay here again if we make it back to Newport.

Nice hotel, relatively clean but check the sheets when you check in. My sheets had some small stains on the inside when I checked in. Overall it was a nice stay, very close to the beach! The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was great! For a complementary breakfast, it was very well organized and served good food!
Don't expect anything from the "bike rental". I had a Groupon for my stay which included a 1 hour bike rental. When we went to rent the bikes and we were given our choice of three old rusty bikes, probably rescued from a dumpster. One bike had half pedals so you could barely pedal, the other barely moved because of all the rust, and the last had no chain making it a rusty lawn ornament. Super dissapointed in the "bike rental". Just looks cheap and trashy. If you're going to advertise it as a part of your hotel, at least get working decent bikes.response / report this review -

I absolutely loved staying at the Best Western hotel in Newport Beach. It was very comfortable and very affordable. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated and also included a delicious complimentary breakfast. It was a short distance from the Newport Beach pier, which allowed my wife and I to ride our bikes to and from the pier during our stay. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit and will definitely be returning in the future.

Everything about the stay was great. Warm pool, good breakfast, comfortable room. Everything except the room was far from quiet. The guests above us seemed very loud which was mostly only a problem because they were awake at 5am, and every time a door opened outside of our room it would move our door with the air pressure, making lots of noise while we were trying to sleep.
