Bed bugs. I've experienced them before from apartment neighbors, so I know that's what bit me all night.
If you're still reading after that, then I'll also tell you that the service was poor. We reserved a room, but were told they overbooked when we arrived, so the front desk guy (who was clearly the only person working that night) took 45 minutes cleaning a room himself. That was nice, but it shouldhave just been ready in the first place.
The room itself was fine. Nothing noteworthy. It was clean enough and everything worked.
But yeah, between bed bugs and having to wait so long upon arrival, one star. Would not stay again.response / report this review -

I chose this hotel for an overnight stay because it was pet friendly. I have never had to stay at a hotel with pets before and don't know if it is normal to designate certain rooms for guest with pets, but the room was pretty gross. The stench of carpet deodorizer was almost unbearable. The bathroom was not cleaned to my standards with a previous guest's soap being left in the shower. Also the shower drain did not drain fast enough. The customer service was good and had I complained during my stay I am sure they would have addressed it but I was simply too exhausted to move rooms.

Very nice staff and updated rooms. Good suggestions on rewards card. Pool open late and very close to a wide variety of dinner choices. Seems to be a running theme with the Best Western Hotels is the thermostat and the AC unit was not the cleanest thing spitting out air. Overall it's a nice hotel with a nice king bed.

Good hotel for the price especially considering it was an ND home game weekend. Convenient to ND campus. Comfortable bed, good internet, nice clean bathroom. Breakfast was good but not great. I would stay here again.

Really nice and fresh looking hotel. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean room, bathroom more updated then other Best Westerns I have been at. Great location. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was absolutely wonderful. The staff, the room, the breakfast, the hotel was so wonderful. Couldn't have asked for more. Anyone searching for a place to stay, this hotel is a must. The hotel staff were friendly, and quite helpful. The beds were a nice balance between firm and soft, and there was a good selection of pillows. Thankfully, the A/C was running in continuous mode, so I didn't have to fight it to set it up. Breakfast was adequate, with waffles, eggs and sausage, and a dish of the day (today featured biscuits and gravy). There was also a selection of breads, pastries, and fruit. The hotel also featured a small, shallow swimming pool and a nicely sized hot tub. There was one disappointment. The second floor air conditioner unit is right next to the smoking area, so the vapors were pushed into the hotel. It was not pleasant, but the smell did not penetrate into the room. Overall, I was happy with my stay, and for the rate I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were great, the service excellent. The food during breakfast seemed good for the most part, not anything amazing though. The sausages were delicious though. The staff were kind and courteous. I stayed for an overnight weekend rig for work and they had accompanied our needs with pleasure!

Clean hotel and rooms, friendly and helpful people, good wifi. The breakfast was selection was very good and delicious! The pool was nice, but is quite small, the hot tub was amazing! I highly recommend!

Great experience. They have gluten free and dairy free options at the breakfast bar! Thumbs up!! I stay in hotels frequently for my job and this is a rarity. It's not often that a Continental breakfast includes more than just pastries and other bread items. The hotel was nice, employees kind and we'd recommend it in the future.

The parking lot was lit up, the entire place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. It is also located right by a little mall where there are lots of restaurant options. It's also very reasonably priced especially for what you get.

This hotel is so acommadating and friendly! I just can't say enough about how well they treat their guests. Everything is very clean and the staff is very helpful. The pool and hot tub is well kept! This is my "go to" place! Thank you!!!!!

Front desk was very friendly. Mike and Mary put us in a great room on the first floor, right next to fitness room and pool. Fitness room is up to date, and pool is clean and heated. It's a bit small for lap swimming, but adequate for doing so. Hot tub is huge and a newer model, not the old tile style tub. Business center has free printing. Coffee is pretty good, and they do have pre-packaged style omelets and sausage, waffle maker, yogurt, breads, pastries, apples. Room was clean and warm, bathroom pretty good size, medium sized fridge, and microwave. I will definitely stay here again.
