Best place to stay if you are Military family or have students that attend St Mary's University. Staff was friendly and area was safe. My daughter attends St Mary's University and we will definitely visit this hotel again. We also enjoyed the breakfast and other visitors from out of state. We are from Illinois and we enjoyed out stay in Texas!

If and when you visit the area of Lackland AFB in Texas, this BW is the only place to consider staying.
It is a very well appointed property with a great service minded staff. It is close to the base and there are eateries all around the area if needed.

Great stay. Supportive, caring staff. Awesome Hotel Shuttle! Super convenient. The Hotel is close to the AFB so I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. Free breakfast, comfortable beds, sound proof walls. The Internet was extremely weak. My room had an odor, I think it may have been due to the ac.. Not sure. The Housekeeper cleaned my bathroom & provided fresh towels every night. Made my bed but didn’t change the sheets. I found that strange. There was a spot on one of my sheets. The room was very spacious & I would stay again. If you run into any issues just notify Front Desk! They were super helpful!

Excellent staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast early in the morning for the families going to graduation at Lackland Air Force Base.
I would highly recommend this Hotel to the graduating families coming every week to see their Airman !
And best of all, only 3 miles from the base. Doesn't get much better then that !!!!response / report this review -

The hotel itself is very nice but the service is the worst. I would not recommend anyone to stay there. We had made a reservation and specifically asked if a room would be available & ready when we arrived even if check-in was at 3. Well they reassured that yes a room would be ready but in reality when we arrived there was a couple in the lobby who had arrived before us & were waiting for their room for over 2hrs. The lady waiting was diabetic & hadn't eaten anything and missed part of her family reunion. We on the other hand I had my baby asleep in the car and had to get ready for a celebration. We had to wait for an hour & a half just driving around. The couple before us asked if we were getting a discount and the front desk just said the manager was out until Wed and that it was up to the head housekeeper. My problem was that they didn't seem to consider our situations and they seemed like they didn't care pretty much saying that's y'all problem not ours. I can guarantee that I won't be staying there because since I arrived until I checked out I didn't feel like they care for keeping business. If you're planning or considering this hotel look for another place to stay that value customers and their business.

It's a little too late for your response and I won't be giving another opportunity to stay at this hotel and all that is stated in the long response won't change my mind. This hotel sure doesn't know how to keep business and I still will tell reviewers to consider another place to stay at that might be cheaper but with better service. This hotel is a great one to stay at if your going to graduation at Lackland, AFB. The hotel is clean and extremely easy to get to and from the base. The breakfast is awesome. It's a full blown deal. Waffles, eggs, sausages, fruit, bacon, cereal, bagels, etc. The Texas shaped waffles rocked. Highly recommend.

The employees at this hotel are wonderful! Every employee we encountered greeted us with a big smile and a positive attitude. The breakfast was great and the cleanliness of the hotel was top notch. I will definitely recommend Best Western Crooked Trail to others traveling to San Antonio. Thank you for helping make our vacation an excellent one!

If you need quick safe access to Lackland AFB this is the place to go. The room was very spacious and very clean. The pool and jacuzzi was very nice but it would have been nice if they stocked the pool with towels instead of having to go to the front desk for them. The free breakfast was enough to get you ready for your day. The front desk help was very receptive and helpful. Finally and most important you felt safe in the hotel and they had a security car going around the hotel when I was there which made you feel safe with your car.

Having never visited San Antonio, we were very fortunate to find this hotel. It is so close to Lackland Air Force Base. The staff was friendly and the room was great. Our room had a fully functioning kitchen. It's less than two miles from the base and the staff provided us a map of graduation events that we used all weekend. The breakfast schedule was very accommodating for families who are there to see their BMT graduates. The staff was also very friendly and willing to help with extra items needed. Everything from the room to the guest laundry was spot on. This will definitely be the hotel our family visits if we ever return to San Antonio.

Our son graduated from Air Force boot camp at Lackland AFB last week. The wonderful employees at Best Western Plus Lackland were extremely helpful making our visit easier by answering our many questions. The ladies at the desk were ready with maps, timelines, and offering breakfast an hour earlier on both Thursday and Friday so that we could attend the 7am parent meeting on the base. Breakfast was excellent offering many choices. The dining area had a number of tables with space for many to eat. The business center was quiet, clean and convenient allowing us to check some business issues we were juggling and print our boarding passes. We appreciated the hot chocolate and coffee always available. I recommend other parents arriving in San Antonio to celebrate their son or daughter's boot camp graduation from Lackland to select this hotel. Everyone was nice. All were helpful. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and the distance from Lackland was extremely convenient allowing us to drive back and forth to the base in just a few minutes. This hotel is an excellent choice.

I was attending my daughter's BMT graduation. I rarely travel and had no idea where to go or what to expect. I was alone and my stay at this hotel was very comfortable. I felt safe and secure. The room was clean and the service was great. The staff is friendly and made me feel welcome. I can imagine most of the business is from family members attending Air Force graduation. The hotel offers a nice breakfast for people who need to be leaving very early in the morning. The location is wonderful and easy access to Lackland. I absolutely recommend. I found great value in the secure, safe, friendly experience and the close proximity.

I could not have chosen a better hotel to stay at during the Air Force Graduation. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. They all went out of their way to make my experience there great. The rooms are very clean, the pool area and fitness center were all clean and well kept while I was there. The bar tender kept the bar very clean and made some of the best drinks that I had throughout the town. I can't say thank you enough to the staff for making my experience so great. Best hotel experience by far.

The staff at Best Western Plus near Lackland Air Force Base especially Andrea were so amazing. When setting my reservations on the phone and even more so in person Andrea was such a gem and so very, very helpful. We lost an item and she searched for it for several days and kept us informed. She finally found it and will be mailing it back to us. She was extremely helpful giving directions and making suggestions of special attractions. So polite, kind and made our stay at Best Western so relaxing and as if we were with family. This gal stood out for sure! The rooms were clean, beautiful and Andrea truly cared that we were taken care of! We surely will recommend this place to other AF families! Thank you Best Western and Thank you so much Andrea!!
