The staff was very friendly. The restaurant food was great. The breakfast was wonderful. We stayed during December and had a very peaceful, quiet stay. We would stay there again.

The staff at the Aku Tiki are awesome! I travel for work and stay at hundreds of hotels. The staff at the Aku Tiki are some of the absolute best. We were there on vacation for 10 days and had a great experience. Every single person we interacted with at the hotel was helpful and seemed to be truly happy to be there.

The hotel is also awesome. They have an extensive free breakfast, free happy hour at the bar and a great restaurant. The heated pool and kids pool are great if you have kids or want to swim some laps. The beach/ocean is also awesome. The rooms are clean and modern. Parking is free and convenient (many hotels in Daytona charge $$$ for parking and/or make you park across the highway).

The Aku Tiki is a landmark hotel in Daytona Beach. If you are staying in Daytona Beach this is the place to stay! Great staff, great facility and a great location.

Best staff of any hotel I've been to. Friendly and personable. The breakfast is awesome, and location is great. Only reason I didn't give five stars is the lack of a hot tub near the pool. Otherwise perfect here.

The hotel is right on the beach and has amazing views. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The eyes on the stove were crooked and the cookware was limited. As long as you stick to basic cuisines it suits your needs. The pool is nice and big and clean. There is also a kiddie pool for the little ones. The staff was pleasant and made sure our needs were met. They were doing renovations during our stay, so it was quite noisy, but we were offered a nice poolside room for when we return.

The hotel is nice. The shower would barely drain and dirt would back up from the drain. Was told they are renovating so not sure if that's the cause of the problem but it wasn't pleasant.
The room space was good. The breakfast bar was one of the best and the staff were great. I'd stay again hopefully all renovations would be done though.

Nice quiet place on the strip. Stayed here two days, had a great time. Nice layout of property. You can get to the beach from the back of the hotel. Nice pool and tiki bar/restaurant. Free happy hour drinks on the weekend. We will stay again.

This was our second stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We love the amenities. Wish the tiki bar was open during the week.They only have it open on weekends this time of year. Bar in restaurant is great. Free happy hour from 5:30 to 6:30. Can't say enough good things about this place

Excellent view of the ocean. Wonderful dining room/bar. All-you-can-eat seafood and prime rib on weekends. Pool, hot tub, exercise room. Great place to spend a few days.

Superior place to stay for not a lot of money. Ocean front at Daytona Beach. What's not to like. Large pool, beach access, large hot breakfast buffet, no-cost happy hour, clean spacious rooms - everything included. And the best staff ever - front desk, bar and restaurant staff, maid service, even the maintenance staff -they're all glad you're here. An exceptional lodging experience. Our second time here. Already planning another trip to Daytona.

This hotel has very nice rooms with pretty much all you need although the bathrooms could maybe be a little bigger. There is a good sized pool, tiki bar and garden to sit at tables of lay on sun lounges all close. There is a good restaurant and bar. Unfortunately the menu changes maybe every year perhaps if they change chef, so sometimes it's pretty good other times it's not as good and for me the bar closes way too early when the restaurant closes at 9pm. Anyway the best thing is the staff (particularly restaurant and front desk) are very friendly and helpful. If I had to rate it with stars I would give it 4.

This was our first stay at an oceanfront hotel and we were very pleased! The room was nice and roomy and had a kitchenette, which we used. The balcony view was amazing! The hot breakfast was really tasty and there were new choices every morning. We didn't use the pool area, but it was really nice. The garden area with lounge chairs facing the ocean was spectacular and very enjoyable. Overall, this hotel is very nice and we hope to visit again in the future.

Myself and my wife have been coming to this hotel for most the last 8 years every other year. We truly enjoy ourselves here everybody is polite and courteous and carrying and helpful. The restaurant on site really takes care of you they do a wonderful job with breakfasts and they have a full menu, the swimming pools are always clean and well taken care of ,the rooms are clean the beds are comfortable. We also enjoy this Hotel due to the fact that it is very close to everything you can go left out of the driveway and have a wonderful time or you can turn right out of the driveway and have a wonderful time you can go far or you can stay close there are too many things to mention to do and to eat and to shop. Also though the beach is right at your back door.. We enjoyed ourselves completely we are looking forward to our next visit hopefully it won't be 2 years it will be sooner.

After reading reviews we choose this inn,Glad we did. A lot of things to do just at the hotel. The outside bar by the beach was great,Pool area great as well. Clean bathrooms by pool area also clean towels set up right by the door leading to the pool area so you don't have to worry about bringing your own. Restaurant inside the hotel clean and yummy,Free breakfast. Happy hour which is free drinks for an hr. The room was clean and spacious,Full mini kitchen with a fridge.Balcony which even from the side you get ocean view. All the staff walks around interacting with guests. Although there is only one elevator which is kinda slow. Vending machines,Ice maker. Free newspapers laid out. They even have chairs and tables with umbrellas by the ocean side to lay out and lounge around. I've been to a lot of horrible hotels down there and this one has to be our new favorite. Not everyone will be pleased but I'd say my partner and I were. And we are already planning our next stay. Book in advance and get a good price.

Staff was very friendly, Location was easily accessible. Plenty of parking (I don't think they were booked out). Restaurant has really good food. Pool is very nice. Happy Hour! I would stay here again, I am picky.

We had a fantastic weekend during our stay here! Our room was super & the ocean view was the BEST! It was also a very nice surprise to be upgraded to a room with a kitchenette. We were treated great by all staff members. The breakfast buffet was fabulous & the Manager's Social Happy Hour was definitely an AWESOME surprise. We will definitely be coming back to stay ;-)
